Years ago, I wish I had known about this handy little tool. Even though the pressure foot on my sewing machine is adjustable, there are times when a little more height is required for those knobs of extra thick fabric, and it really helps push the fabric along.

A hump jumper can be used to a) get over bulky seams at the start of a seam, b) advance the feed dogs when sewing from the very edge and the fabric is thin, and c) get over thick seams in the middle of a seam.
