Is this foot compatible with the Brother DS6000i machine?

That's what I believe. My machines are a Brother CS6000i and a Brother ST371HD, and it snaps on to both of them.

Is it 1/4" from the foot's right or left side?

When you look at the foot, you'll notice something unusual. It's a fantastically designed foot.

Is it compatible with the XV8500D?

It appears to be fairly universal, in my opinion.

Is there a way to knot the square with this presser foot going backwards?

It works in the same way as a regular presser foot in reverse.

This foot is a great addition to your sewing needs if you enjoy sewing and quilting. If you don't want to use tape, the 1/4 foot will make sewing easier and more precise.

Before you start sewing, change the needle position

The foot fits my Brother machine, but the seam allowance is just a smidgeon over 1/4 inch. It should be fine for smaller projects, but as the project grows larger, the measurements will become increasingly inaccurate.
