The directions in the listing were pretty clear on how to install it. It's not perfect for my machine, which takes a drop in 66 type bobbin, but I didn't take off a star for that, since I purchased it for the belt and awl specifically. I don't consider the rest of the purchases to be extras, as I only wanted the belts.

There is a treadle sewing machine that I would like to use again, but it needed a new belt. I found this set of 2 to be perfect, because the first belt I cut too short, so I needed an extra belt. There's no problem with it. The leather feels strong and the wheel fits right on it. These scissors are capable of cutting leather at the same time as the small extra pieces are also appreciated. As a result of this pack up, my treadle machine is running again, and I would recommend it to anyone needing to get their treadle machine back to work.

I am pleased with the value these offer and how easy they are to install with their *Note that the awl is extremely sharp and does not have a cover on top, so be very very careful when taking the plastic bag off from the box as this will not prevent you from puncturing your hand. It was about time for me to get a tetanus shot. My Singer treadle was not designed to fit the bobbins. The indication that they would fit Singer treadles was disappointing, since I used to order new bobbins when I needed them.

I snipped the leather with scissors, but it didn't cut. Although the AWL is useful, it is not one of the best tools available. My favorite thing about needles is that they feel good. My first impression was that one leather belt was smaller in diameter than the other. Having the "kit" as my back-up is a good thing for me We have picked up the supplies we need for our service center.

It is a great buy for the price. I'm not quite sure how that belt would have worked, since I received the wrong one, but everything with it was just fine. I thought better packaging wasn't necessary, so I packaged the cookies in a ziploc type bag. I think it is a great value for the price with all the features it comes with.
