How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Sew straight seams: place it as far away from the needle as you'd like your stitching line to be, and it'll perfectly guide the fabric through as you sew.
This gauge will not move or shift because it is held in place by a strong magnetic hold.
Two units in bulk, so you'll always have a seam guide on hand when you need one.
Fits most machines: This guide will "stick" to and fit the majority of popular brand machines.

Questions & Answers

What is the mechanism behind this? I'm working on straightening out my sewing. ?

It comes in handy when sewing seams that are 5/8 inch or wider. For anything narrower, it sits too close to the sewing mechanisms. I wanted to quilt with it, but the machine hit it.

Is it okay to use computerized sewing machines with it?

If your sewing machine's manufacturer recommends against using magnetic sewing guides, do so. Magnets have no effect on chips or other solid state components, which are what make it "computerized."

I just got a different one, is it easy to pick up and move around?

I've never had a problem like this. It's a super-sized super-sized super-sized super-sized super-sized super I just slide it off rather than try to pick it up because it has a strong magnet (which is great).

Has anyone tried it on a Brother PC model? Sewing machine with a 210 needle count?

I haven't tried it on a sibling, but I believe it would work as long as the plate is made of metal. This is placed close to the presser foot.

For a quarter inch, no
3/5

These were purchased to aid in the quilting process. When used for a 1/4 inch seam, however, they get stuck on the feed dogs. When I move them closer to me, they end up on top of the plastic bobbin cover, rendering them useless. If you're looking for a wider seam, this could work.

For less than a fast food meal, this is an excellent little gadget
5/5

Because my best friend and I sew together every week, I purchased these seam guides for us. She's a novice, and I haven't used a machine since I was in eighth grade. ec class. So I couldn't say no when I saw these on sale for less than a single meal at a fast food joint. They're a great little tool for keeping your seams and stitches even and straight. Regardless of how much fabric is pushed against the magnets, they are strong and do not slide around. When you need to remove it, simply lift it by the tab and it pops right off, no muss, no fuss. I now keep this little guy on my sewing table at all times. br>This is an excellent addition to any sewing machine, whether it's for a beginner or a seasoned sewer, because, as my home-sewing instructor told me, "Good stitches are born from confidence," says an ec teacher. " And this handy device gives you peace of mind that your fabric isn't drifting too far in one direction or the other.

This was extremely beneficial
5/5

You won't be able to knock the magnets off the target because they're extremely powerful. Because I'm not a great sewer and don't sew very often, the magnet comes in handy for keeping the seams straight. I would buy them again and would recommend them to others. They're small, but they get the job done!.

On an Emerald 118, it's perfectly acceptable
4/5

This is an excellent magnet. When using the tab, it's easy to get rid of it. Because of the magnet strength, it's a little difficult to reposition. Because of the locations of plastic versus metal on the surface of my Emerald 118, I find that there are some limitations to how I can use this, but with a little creativity and troubleshooting, I am able to figure out solutions in most cases.

Seams that are straight and accurate
5/5

The Magnetic Seam Guide is an excellent product that precisely guides the fabric through the pressure foot for perfectly straight seams. The magnets are extremely powerful and are unable to be moved. It's a fantastic deal for two powerful magnets.

This is a powerful magnet
3/5

This is a powerful little magnet that sticks! It appeals to me, but you must keep your fabric straight so that it does not shift out of place. I wish it was taller and wider to have a longer length because it doesn't do what it claims to do because it's short and needs a flusher base so light fabric doesn't slide underneath it. It would be even better if it could get closer beneath the needle screw by having a flat side that goes under it.

This is an excellent addition to any sewing machine! After using a much larger one on an upholstery machine, I bought this for my regular sewing machine, and it makes it super easy to sew perfectly even seams by allowing you to place it anywhere on the throat plate
5/5

No more squinting at the machine's fine measuring lines; simply set it to the width you want your seam to be and sew to your heart's content! It appeals to me.

For amateurs, this is a great tool
5/5

I'd seen some other magnetic guides but was hesitant to buy them because of their high price; this one, on the other hand, came with two and was inexpensive. I'm a self-taught sewer, so I'm not sure if this is up to par with what a professional sewer would do, but it works for me. It makes sewing straight lines a lot easier for me because I don't have to keep looking at the machine to make sure I'm holding it straight. I also appreciate how little "attachment" and "detachment" I have to do! Stick it on, take it off, or leave it alone. I have no regrets about purchasing it. Oh, and because it's an older machine, there's no touchscreen or other digital features.
