Questions & Answers

The length of a goose's neck is approximately how long it is?

With a 7" gooseneck, you can adjust the light exactly where it needs to be without worrying about sagging or droop.

Is it possible for the magnet to scratch the paint of the surface it is mounted ?

So long as it is mounted on a flat surface, it will not move. It is believed that the person who designed the light wanted to avoid scratching the surface with the magnet, so they attached a thin rubber O-ring Around the edge of the magnet is a ring. As you may have noticed, the Surface finish is prevented from being scratched when the ring contacts the surface, rather than the magnet itself. Thanks for reading. I hope you find this

Is it possible to remove the magnet and replace it with double stick tape?

You will not be able to remove the magnet, but using double stick tape you can

Selected User Reviews For Bonlux LED Sewing Machine Light Working Gooseneck Lamp 30 LEDs, with Magnetic Mounting Base for Home or Sewing Machine (30 LEDs)

The light is ideal for sewing or for use with a workshop machine
5/5

In addition to being a sewing machine light, it can also be used as a work light for machine shops. I can see quite well under the bright light 30 to 40 minutes at the very least This is a 50 foot-long rope Based on the length of the flex arm, the candle should burn for 20 minutes. A large area is covered by the beam The number probably ranges from 70 to The position of the sun at 90 degrees is negative This beam is similar to a floodlight. Magnets are strong enough to mount to the back of sewing machines, drill press tables, or the heads of drill presses. Although it was pretty well-made, I found the white plastic to be more of a beige and there was a tiny imperfection on mine. As long as you keep it where you want it, the flex arm stays put. It is my duty as a former engineer to voice concern about the following very minor matter The AC cord connects directly to the housing of this light, so there is 120 V inside. From the back of the switch housing you can also see a magnet (for the switch). Neither the cord plug nor the plug is I like the lighting in this photo -- it's very Chinese The product is packaged in a retail display box printed in Asian characters and does not have any certifications (such as UL or ETL). It is possible that the fault modes of the light have not been fully evaluated for the American market, and you could end up with the power line connected to whatever metal the light is stuck to (as well as the flex arm) in the event that the insulation inside the switch housing breaks. Many of the large and more expensive lights have a power adapter that supplies only 5V power to the light fixture itself when it is using an external "wall wart. " power source. Concerning this issue, I'm not more concerned than I am with the cardboard insulation on Edison - The sockets on the base of an old lamp Table lamps with a certain style. My guess is that I could give you a call To feel better, you could try to pot test one of these. Metal filings are going to be attracted to the switch housing if you use this on a machine used for metal work (it could make a good bench grinder light for example). This is not the fault of the manufacturer The purpose of the cable is to attach to sewing machines To reduce the possibility of metal contacting the switch, you might want to wrap saran wrap around it or use electrical tape. Those I am purchasing for other machines in my shop will be used elsewhere as well.

This is a very bright light, but if you don't have a metal machine, then try another way to attach the There is a lot of light in the room
4/5

It was brighter than the light I had before it Due to the fact that it is purely magnetic, I only gave it 4 stars. These days, there are not many machines made of metal. I don't know how many there are. There is no way to magnetically attach the light to my Babylock, and I have a good model. My solution was to use double sided tape to attach it to the light that came with the other device. I found it to fit perfectly. It would be helpful if this company provided an alternative way of mounting this light to non-metal machines. It is a great product, just be aware that if your machine is not metal, you will need to figure out how to install it.

If you had let me, I would have loved it
4/5

My machine is a Singer 9970 that I purchased two years ago. I would have loved it if it had stayed on it. It was hard to find any metal on my machine except the feed plate where the bobbin and needle are located for the rest of it is plastic, and thus I had no place to put this metal. In fact, I'll keep it because I have some other crafts in which it would be useful. Consequently, if you have a machine mostly made of plastic, this will not work. Those LED strips look interesting, so I'm going to test them.

It would have been far better if a few drops of glue had been used
3/5

The machine I'm making is made from aluminum and cast steel. An aluminum surface will not be stuck by a magnet The majority of people should know this. The plastic will also not adhere to it. When I stitch at high speeds, over 2500 stitches per minute, my fabric stays intact. There was a problem with the flex shaft slipping into the hole because it wasn't glued in place (the scissors will bounce off the table). A ray of light would fall onto the work hanging on the wires when the sun came out. It wasn't the customer's place to make a product right, and that can be taken care of with a bit of JB Weld. They learned that saving a few cents per unit by not gluing things together was worthwhile. For a few cents, they lost a return customer. I would like to thank the girl operating the machine The one I wanted was for the blind stitch machine and the big zigzag machine. There are more options to choose from.

The process of sewing is clear to me It was necessary to buy this light because my sewing area is not very bright and neither are the lights on my three machines
5/5

Having a bright glow on the bed of the machine is perfect for illuminating it. I used the hanging mechanism on all 3 machines, so instead of hanging it with velcro I used picture hangers. I stuck the light with the tape that was included. There is a bit of a glare in the light The velcro I used was a bit heavy, but so far it hasn't been an issue. The double-class would be the correct option if I were using it on only one machine Use tape to hold things together. A strong magnet holds the light on the machine and allows the light to be taken off for storing or travelling with the machine. I like how the light can be positioned in several ways to suit my needs. Overall, it works perfectly and is a great value for the money. In the future, I might purchase a few extras for my other machines so I can use tape to secure them.

This is a good option at a fair price
5/5

What a great light for the price! I was surprised at how much light it was able to put out considering its size. I don't expect it to be knocked out of place too easily because the magnet is fairly strong. Flexible enough to easily fit around the contours of the sewing machine head, it can be positioned in a variety of directions. My intention was to buy one so I can test it out, but I will likely replace all of my larger seeing machine lights due to their bulk and inconvenient placement on the desk.

The light is good for the project
5/5

It was while searching for gooseneck LED lights for several applications that I came across this one, called the sewing machine light, which worked perfectly for me. The LED light was to be installed on the table saw so I can see the graduation numbers better, and another one to be installed on the rowing machine so the display was visible The light for the table saw works as described, as do the dimming lights ( ) for my rowing machine. I have quite a few questions about the items As soon as the LEDs start failing, I will update my review.
