In general, as long as it is kept around the stitching area only, it should be fine. I use magnetic hoops all of the time. Magnets should not be placed near where the computerized area is located.
It might also work with curved sewing. I haven't tried it yet, but I would guess it would. The magnets are extremely strong and work well as a straight seam guide. If you want to sew more curves, take a look at the Curve Master presser foot (available on Amazon) it is compatible with both low and high shank machines. The strategy does not seem like it would help, but it does work very well when it comes to
Despite the age of my computer machine, it still works perfectly. I use it mostly to sew on my Singer featherweight and to teach sewing classes.

It was the first time I'd seen one, but I can see how useful it would be to guide edge seams. A very strong magnet can be found on the underside. The fabric will not slide away from the edge when it comes into contact with your fabric. The hook at the end of one end can be used as a lanyard. It was designed to pry it off of the metal plate of my sewing machine. It takes quite a bit of force to pry it back on. Furthermore, it works well as a hook attached to a metal table by my sewing machine (I have a metal table on which my machine sits, and a metal book stand on which the machine itself stands up) My phone's case also has a ring on the back. Great tool that is simple and easy to use. As I have three machines, I keep one of these cards on each in my possession at all times.
The one I have has been in the cupboard for years, but I Rather than hand stitch, I took out the machine and learned how to use it. I needed to make masks, but I didn't want to do it by hand. In order to stitch evenly, I found it challenging to feed the material through. On Amazon, I came across a video in which a seamstress recommended the product. I found it to be a game changer! Due to the strong magnet on its surface, it cannot move. Having great seams is rewarding, and I have gone on to order another one for a friend of my daughter's who also sews masks. I would highly recommend this Magnetic Seam Guide, as it is extremely easy to use.
Keeping my line straight while sewing isn't something I'm very good at. So this seam guide is perfect for me. magnet has a very strong pull, and this is the only warning. In case you suffer from arthritis in your hands or any kind of weakness in your fingers, I would recommend using a piece of cloth beneath it to lessen the impact.
Initially, we thought that these were going to be a great addition to our quilting equipment, but after observing that this covered the bobbin case on all of our machines, we decided against it. There is a great, strong magnet on the needle plate, so it takes a little bit of maneuvering to get the attachments on the needle plate, but that is part of the challenge in If a needle plate on a top-loading machine needs to be opened, then you must remove them This page shows how to load the You have to place the bobbin back on the plate at the right place after it has been replaced. To keep it in place, we use a 1/4" needle guide, but on our Brother machines we have to use a J foot and move the needle to the right to keep it in place. easiest just to use a foot on which a 1/4" guide is placed. The concept is great, but it would be a real challenge to implement with the best of intentions This is the process of loading a.
Magnets are stainless steel so you won't have to worry about them rusting Furthermore, they are very powerful in the sense that they stay put when I place them, but are not too difficult to move if necessary. I have a backup set of three magnets in case one gets lost or misplaced, so I am never without a magnet.
With its really strong magnetic bond, there is no worry that it will shift during feeding fabric. Even if I bump it with my hand while it is attached, it will not shift. With such a strong bond, it can be a bit difficult to make sure they're all set straight, so use 2 hands when placing them. As I've tried both the guide plate and the adjustable guide bar that came with my machine (Singer M3400), both have benefits, but this magnetic guide has been the most helpful to me when it comes to achieving even seam allowances and top stitches.
