Questions & Answers

When washed in a washing machine, how do the colors fare?

If necessary, the colors will fade some after several washings, but the marking pen can be repurposed. It is not only the ones that are designed for textile design, however, that are the best.

What happens if I use these markers ?

The answer is yes. It is possible that the colors bleed together at times. It will only take a light touch.

What about wool blend felt sheets? Will these markers work on them? Would you mind helping me add details to a felt story board I am making for my son?

In my opinion, they don't work well on 'hairy' When I used mine, I did small, thin brush strokes on cotton tees, and it still took quite a bit of time because it took so long. I think they work best on a canvas or similar fabric with a The majority of fabric markers are like that.

If you are using them on a rough fabric, like canvas bags you can find at craft stores, how do they do?

The main reason I use them on cotton is because I am a quilter. In any case, I went ahead and tried them on a bag that I got Although there was an area that I had to go over twice because of the roughness of the material, they took care of the job just fine. As well, I tried a few letters and they were crisp and clear.

The following brands are compared This is my favorite out of the There are three brands of fabric markers that I bought The following markers are available in the market Crayola Fabric Markers, Stained by Sharpie, and TULIP 28976 Fine Writers Marker
5/5

The purpose of this review is to compare. There was no contest for me when it comes to the TULIP. There was just the right amount of water, neither too dry nor too wet. A vibrant array of colors filled the room. Further orders are on the way. Heat is not needed in order to operate them My ironing set was not the correct setting, though I realized this after ironing. The Sharpie markers also seemed to be the most dry of the three markers. This was not a dried out product The area had more strokes in it, and so it took longer to fill in. Heat is not needed in order to operate them My Crayola markers were the most wettest, so much so that they caused bleeding when I tried to go from one color to another. Its wateriness makes it easier to fill in large areas, but if you want another color in an adjacent location, you need to wait a few minutes for the first one to dry. In order to function, they need heat Time is spent on setting up, which is tedious.

This is not my best
3/5

I have been doing a lot of arts and crafts projects. This product was less than ideal, since it dried up on me the second time I used it. Detail work is greatly enhanced by the precision of this tip. When I made this purchase, I was thrilled with the amount of different color options that were available. The price was also right. In addition to the fact that (as long as the cap was securely on) they were difficult to get paint out of, and I had to press firmly down and then there were splotches on my fabric from this. The second time I used them, more than one was dry. Despite my best efforts, I am not satisfied with my purchase.

I like how it works
5/5

One of the embroidery websites on which I am a member holds a coloring contest with the items. The bags I got from my shopping trip are awesome! I didn't win, but I got awesome colored shopping bags! Whenever I find more things to color with them, I can not wait to add them to my collection. The colours on both thread and canvas fabric are very vibrant. It doesn't appear that they are bleeding at the moment. Having the pins on top of the board gives you different shades, as you can mix colors. In spite of the lack of "need" to heat set the ink, I did put the bags in the dryer on high for 15 minutes. Having a backup plan is always good.

Stunning Tulip markers at an incredible value! After a previous purchase of the Tulip dual-system, I did not have any good results It would have been nice to have a more traditional tip (fine/brush) marker set, but these were on sale so I tried them again
4/5

Thank you for your kind words. There were two sets of these fine tips on sale, so I bought both. All colors from both sets are shown on the swatch card. There was not a single one that was Orange) were lighter than the caps in both sets, but to a similar degree. Aside from the fact that the markers in the first set were finer than those in the second, the only real difference between the two sets is the way the markers were placed on the page. Those details are reflected on the swatch card. The colors in general are not as intense as some other brands, but they are consistent, flow well, and have an easy to use consistency.

You've done an awesome job! Making some onesies for my puppy was on my bucket list
5/5

You've done an awesome job! These were the onesies that I wanted to create for my child, and they let me let my creativity flow. So far nothing has faded or bled in the outfits, even after being washed a million times.

Did you break a lot of blood? Yes, indeed! In a nutshell, Maybe this was just a bad batch of markers, for the sake of argument
3/5

It bleeeeds, though. On the video and in the first image, there appears to be a large white patch of following is a transcription of the T- There is 100% cotton on the shirt. In any case, at least four of the markers started dripping before anything even touched them. They seemed fine at first, but when they tried to draw a line, they It is so disappointing for me. To draw some face masks on them, I wanted to use them. I guess I'll use a different brand next time.

There is a chance that colors may bleed onto fabrics
4/5

Laundry is the best way to get rid of colors. These were so much fun to try out with my daughter. It was easy to cut a design using heat transfer vinyl and I applied it to a cotton pillowcase for her to color (I designed my own separately). For best results, place a large piece of cardboard in the pillowcase to prevent color from soaking through and onto the back. The pillowcases didn't work well with the markers - they rubbed off onto the back of the pillowcase. It resulted in quite a bit of color bleeding around the edges of each colored section, which led to a somewhat muddy design. Although it was a detailed design, I was able to account for the bleed through quite a bit so I ended up with a much better final product. We allowed them to dry for a few days, although some of the colors washed out when we washed them. This was a very easy way to use them and I believe they would work even better on an alternate fabric, so we will try them again sometime with something else.
