Questions & Answers
I wouldn't recommend it because the paper is thick and is bound with gum. Because the pages do not flex like a regular journal, you would have to handle it with extreme caution. Instead, I'd most likely choose this; Series 400 9 in. Sketch Pads by Strathmore x 12 in. 100 sheets per pad Amazon has it. I hope this has been of assistance.
Kasey - The watercolor paper is 140 lb and comes in 12 sheets. Each sheet measures 5 inches by 7 inches. 5x8. 5 inches. On the left (long) side, they are "glued," but they can be easily removed.
Despite the fact that I have seen them. My house's artists simply practice by looking at pictures until they master it.
Yes, it's watercolor paper that has been cold-pressed. The surface is ideal for using a watercolor pencil.

I understand that paper is as subjective as watercolor art, but Strathmore has never disappointed me in terms of quality and price. Any paper can be pilled if it is overworked, but this has never happened to me. Wet on dry, wet on wet, mixed media, and watercolor markers/colored pencils are all good options. The size is ideal; no more reducing larger sheets to fit, and the binding is extremely durable.
This score was clearly higher than the scale's maximum!
Pros:
1. br>1. It is small and compact. br>br>br>br> 4 dollars for a dozen sheets? Should I mention that it weighs 140 pounds and is part of the 400 series?br>3. For beginners, it's fantastic. br>4 It's simple to rip from the padbr>5. It's also easier to control the paint with the cold press texture. br>Cons:
1. I'm not going to use the paper because it's too small for me. br>2. The price continues to rise.
br>However, when I first opened the book, I was disappointed to discover that more than half of the sheets had already come loose from the binding. When I'm out and about, having a bunch of loose sheets to worry about falling out is quite inconvenient. If you're looking for a spiral bound pad for the same reason, I'd recommend the spiral bound pad.
Don't get me wrong: I think the size of this watercolor pad is ideal for someone who is just starting out with painting. But it's difficult to do that when the pages begin to fall out after a couple of folds. I can see why it's not very sturdy for the price, but if you don't mind that, I suppose it's a good buy. Although it is inexpensive, I am annoyed by the falling pages.
I don't like wasting good paper, so I'm drafting on it, but I'm not happy with the result!.
Strathmore was gracious enough to send me some samples of this excellent product. It was a lot easier to decide. It's great that this level of service is still available today. 👍.
If you're a beginner, this is the best product to buy. When more is required, I will purchase as soon as possible.
The first page slid out as soon as I opened the cover. br>This will necessitate another on-site surface attachment. br>Strathmore could simply glue the lower edge (or any edge on the sides) to secure the paper. br>br>I went over the other reviews. I took a chance on it. br>We require a spiral bound paper in this size for easy and secure sketching/watercoloring on location. HELP!.
