Selected User Reviews For Fabriano 1264 Watercolor Pad, 4 x 8, Bright White
My usual paper is Bockingford 11x15 sheets, but I needed an inexpensive alternative in a spiral bound pad for quick paintings while on the road. br>br>Having previously used and enjoyed Fabriano's higher-priced papers, I decided to give this budget paper a try. br>br>I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the 1264 paper. It works well with wet in wet, dry brushing, and lifting; all of these techniques were used in the attached painting, which was created with tube paints. br>br>In my opinion, this paper outperforms similarly priced papers like Strathmore and Canson XL or Montval by a wide margin. br>br>I ordered the 11x15 spiral bound pads first, then the 7x10 spiral bound pads. br>br>It'll never be able to replace my Bockingford, especially for the work I sell, but it's a great budget paper at a great price!.
This watercolor does a fantastic job. On the paper, the colors appear to be bright and vibrant. I'm not afraid to use color. I'm blown away.
It can withstand washes, layering, and scrubbing out errors. I bought it again because I liked the texture, color, and the fact that it didn't pill up when I had to re-wash it. a specific area to work on.
I like the size of the watercolor paper, which is 140 pounds, and how the spiral binding allows the tablet to be opened flat. This purchase, as well as the chance to try Fabriano paper, has made me very happy.
It is a joy to work with. It takes color very well.
Trying it out with some pretty good watercolor paint. It appeals to me, and the size is ideal for many of the projects I enjoy painting. The back cover of the book flips completely around. The paper is very strong.
