If you don't want that texture to show through, you'd have to use quite a bit of pressure if you're using graphite. A medium like acrylic paint works better with it.
There is a difference depending on what you are using, but I would not gesso a paper canvas. You might need gesso if you're using watered-down acrylics, but I didn't gesso and it came out great, but I didn't need to flatten it under books after it cured.
This is not the case. The paper has a linen texture and it absorbs well. The acrylic paint works really well with this. As a final step, you can add the gesso to the paint or apply it once you've completed

For the past six months, I have been using various Arteza products. When I started experimenting with oil and acrylic painting, I immediately looked to see if they offered acrylic paper so that it would be easier to store than buying more canvasses. There is a lot of bulk and strength to this paper. If you wish, you can apply a coat of gesso, but I suggest taping it down if you plan on applying more than one coat, as it will I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of paint layers it takes to cover. Currently, I have not worked with watercolors on this paper but will use it in the future. I will post a picture when I do. Because of its low price and the fact that you get more than the standard 10 sheets, it's a good option for budget-conscious buyers. Due to the glue binding, the paper can be peeled off very easily without compromising the quality. It would be helpful if they offered different sizes, but that would be my only complaint. When I had gessoed it, I cut it into 4 by 7-inch pieces. The rectangles I use for my studies are 5 inches long. It would be nice to see people who are seeking alternatives to buying canvases consider this product.
This acrylic painting paper is very good quality and a fair price. Our family has been using this paper for her since we found it early on. Under heavy paint load, it is heavy enough not to warp badly, and it has enough tooth to readily allow paint to adhere. On it, she uses Golden paints, Liquitex paints and some Artist Loft paints On that paper, everything seems to be in order. After seeing how well this paper is written, many of her classmates have switched to Arteza. As long as we can buy it, we will.
The quality of this company’s acrylic and multi-media notebooks is far superior to the other companies and types of notebooks I have tried. I have had a few heavy layered paintings. The paint slightly curled but not to the extent that I was concerned, and the paint did not show through on the back side.
The price and quality are great! I'll definitely continue buying supplies from this company, you can get discounts on their website, but either way, I will certainly order supplies from them in the future.
Its paint grabbing ability is quite good, in my opinion. Isn't the material not cotton, but rather a wood pulp, that has been pressurized and sealed? The tape did a pretty poor job of stopping the warping, and the cloths did not fully relax when dried. In addition to using them for acrylic painting, I have also used them for oil painting. Paper doesn't warp either, so I find that the smoother surface is more conducive to the oils. In general, I use them more for practice than for anything else.
Acrylics are the medium of choice for my wife. Over the past two years, she's been taking lessons through the local community college This is the third year. Amazon provided us with access to this paper very early on The batch we bought today is the third or fourth in a row. There is no curl in the paper even when there is a full load of paint, but the surface "tooth" prevents the paint from "sticking" to the paper. In her class, at least half of the students have now switched to this product which she has found to be of great quality. For its price, it is an excellent buy.
We cut these to the exact size required to fit inside our photo holders using acrylic rulers. Due to the fact that these holders come in different sizes, I cut and painted bookmarks to fit in them. They are extremely popular among my friends as well as myself! Besides my Bible and novels that I read, I also use bookmarks to keep a record of my Spanish study book, Sudoku puzzle books, and other This paper is so versatile that I even use it for greeting cards. Acrylic paints as well as oil paints work great!.
