Questions & Answers

What is the transparency of the material? Can I use it to make a sewing pattern?

This is the most amazing thing I have ever purchased. The material is not only transparent enough to see where your pattern should be placed, it is practically impossible to tear and will last for hundreds of times. I make welder's caps and I've used the patterns from this over hundreds of times and you cannot even see the pinholes. The material is very interesting to me. It is my sincere hope that this will help you.

Description the distance between 30 yards and 30 feet reads 30 feet in one place and 30 yards in another place Do you know which one it is?

It is excellent that you have asked this question, as there is a big difference between 30 ft and 30 yards. What is the reason for this discrepancy not being corrected on the ad?

Is there a way to sew this to quilt fabric, then it can be torn off?

Although I have never tried this myself, when it is under too much "stress" I have had it tear so it would definitely I think it would work for you, because you can actually sew a garment with it before deciding to use expensive fabric, but it will tear, so it won't be as durable as the fabric you would use, so it does

What type of paper does it have? Is it rolled up at the ends or will ?

As it comes in a long roll, it is likely to curl a little on the front and back sides. You can fix it by taping it or by using a heavy object.

So far, I haven't used my paper as I just received it in the mail. The measurements are what I would like people to BE WARNED of. Not 30 yards but 30" wide and 10 yards long, this paper is not 30 yards Here are some photos of the package and the thick end so you can see what it looks like.

It combines paper and fabric in a magical way
5/5

Test fitting fresh patterns drafted by me is the second reason I use this, before cutting the master pattern from it. If the fit is perfect on this I will use it for my DIY folder of completed patterns. The texture is much better than cardstock or graph paper. I use different colored gel pens to label sizes, make margin notes, and specifically mark the master patterns on all my master patterns with a pencil or fine point pen. Markers tend to bleed through a lot, so I use a pencil or fine point pen. If you find a fabric that drapes nicely and paper that can be folded you're done in much less time than going through two to three muslin mockups before everything fits. When you're like me, you hate having to work on muslin and you just want to jump right into the nice fabric for your main project. If you still cannot use it for embroidery paper, consider using it for leather or denim. If you need to tailor an existing garment, it can even be used to pin a strip on and baste it quickly. It's amazing what's out there today. I wish I knew about it The stuff below can be used by anyone with a sewing machine and some basic sewing skills. As a result, I spend less time fumbling with fit, pattern, and alterations, and more time sewing as a result. If only it came in wider rolls or as graph paper, I would prefer it.

Good product for designing a toy for stuffed greyhounds
5/5

Used it to design a pattern. I have found it to work perfectly for all stages, allowing me to trace a hand drawn pattern, cut out the printed image, and sew it up before I decide what I want. Easy to handle and surprising strong, it really does live up to its name. As a backing I have used it for fabrics that fray, very thin pattern pieces. I have also used it just as pattern paper straight out of the package. At a very good price it is an incredibly useful product.

The perfect product for drafting and muslins at the beginning of the design process! The paper I am reading is AMAZING
5/5

Recently, I took up sewing, and I always jump right in when I start. As a result, of course I already create my own patterns / modify others that I acquire. My favorite part about this paper is that it allows me to trace and stitch patterns quickly and then try them on for size. My approach to adjusting a garment if I don't like the fit is to remove the stitches, make the adjustments I need, and then try it In sum, I can sum it up this way The same piece can be used up to two or three times before it wears at the seams (depending on the adjustments being made). My FBA (always needed for every pattern) and redrafting of necklines and tank straps / backs have been made a whole lot easier with this tool. This is going to be one of my favorite sewing tools.

This is a fantastic pattern- Make your own material

I used to use Viva brand paper towels for drawing all of my dolls until recently It is possible to create patterns of varying sizes. A second product I tried was Pattern Ease, which I found to be too bulky and thick. If I had to choose between paper towels and anything else, I would most definitely choose my paper towels. Having realized I was using the wrong paper, I tried Swedish Tracing Paper. I can't believe how amazing it all is! I love this stuff so much. Using it you can make custom patterns or trace existing patterns as a basis for "***" - There are many pros to using this system This is a thin, yet crisp and sturdy paper. You won't have to worry about it tearing or crumpling like tissue paper. Unlike paper towels, it does not stretch or distort. There is not much color in the photo, but enough that you can trace anything without needing A pencil or pen can easily be used to draw or write on it. There is no need to worry about shears because they It isn't necessary to cut with your scissors. Simply push the (open) scissors forward, cutting the material through. The same way you can pin and baste fabric, you can do that here. * Br* Br* It comes wound around a 29" roll, just like a miniature bolt of My silk and bolts of cloth stand together in the corner. "***" - I have a negative opinion about this. There is a slight tendency for the material to crease easily, which could be a problem if you accidentally fold or rumple it. It is a good idea to press a crease at the center of the pattern when marking the center of the pattern however. It is not necessary to iron the material. Just fold it and finger press it Then press a permanent crease into the paper. A little stiff, so it doesn't drape like fabric, but it's not unpleasant to wear. Test your pattern on a mockup made from muslin if you need to see how it drapes. "***" - I rate it as a D. The overall experience has been five stars for me. What a great piece of work! This is the best tool for anyone who wishes to trace commercial patterns or make their own custom.
