Questions & Answers

Is this product suitable for paper piecing or does it appear to be too thick?

I believe it is too thick and will be difficult to remove.

"New (2) from $19," the Swedish paper says. Free shipping on orders of $99 or more." Is this to say that an order of '2' rolls will cost $19? 99?

I didn't expect two rolls because my ad didn't say so. I have, however, used some of it and am very pleased with the results.

Is this something that can be thrown in the washing machine? Is it washable more than once?

This is what I use to trace patterns; I haven't tried washing it yet.

Do you think you'll be able to sew through this?

Yes. It's a fabric that isn't woven. such as tracing paper that can also be stitched on without tearing

Pellon is also known by another name
3/5

Swedish tracing paper has a cool sounding name, so it never arrived, which is fine. It turns out it's just a $2 piece of medium weight pellon from any fabric store on sale. Instead of $2 for 44 inches wide, you can get it for 00/yd. I'm glad I saw the ad because now I'm using pellon instead of muslin or paper for drafting, and it's great!.

Previously, it was used to copy and remake sewing patterns
5/5

This item is ideal for copying and creating my own sewing patterns. I have to make adjustments to my commercial patterns all of the time, but I don't have to cut them up and try to tape them back together- They're made of paper that's incredibly thin! This is a fantastic product, and I enjoy using it. It's transparent enough to lay over patterns and copy lines, but thick enough that I won't have to worry about it ripping. I haven't tried washing or sewing it yet, so I can't comment on how well it works in those situations. It also appears to be a great company.

If you sew patterns, this is a must-have
5/5

This is my first time using this product, and I've purchased new tracing paper as a result. I don't have to cut out my old patterns anymore. Because of the sheerness, the pattern below was easily visible. It is made of a strong material. Your original patterns should be saved.

The pattern material is fantastic
5/5

Pattern making and pattern tracking are made much easier with this product. You can pin the pattern together to see if it fits without having to worry about tearing it once it's finished.

Because the tissue paper rips so easily, I use it to trace all of my sewing patterns

For anyone who makes their own pattern pieces, this is a must-have! It's a great product because you can pin or baste your pattern pieces cut out of it, which is much easier and more flexible than using tissue paper pattern pieces
