This is a sturdy product
A Mickey and similar drawing pen will not bleed through most papers, even those with a thin surface. I used microns in my sketchbook, 60 lb/90 gsm, and it did not A bleed through is not likely to be seen, but you'll likely see ghosting and show
It works well, but they do bleed through a bit so you need a piece of paper under the paper.
Please be aware that at present there is only an 8 available. The pages of the 5x11 format are perforated

This book has a hardcover cover and a large size, which makes it ideal It is my husband's favorite and he uses it every day.
In spite of this, the pages are thinner than I anticipated and my micro pens bleed through (thankfully, just to the back of the page and not to the next! Another thing I would like would be an easier way to fold the sketchbook in half so I can draw on a single page, but if I fold it backwards without being particularly careful, I fear I will tear the page. I would rate it as a pretty good sketch book, since it's great for those using only.
After all, my sketch books are all full so I thought it would be nice to have a new one. As it arrived today, it had a bent line in the cover that seemed to be caused by the package being twisted. It contains two pages that have been torn out and bent half way through. It is nearly impossible to turn the sketch book. The metal has a long line which prevents the spine from arching too far back. Because you are so cheap, I would have known that it would always be like The price is low. You should avoid buying this product unless you're okay with pages being ripped out or you take the time to do so.
For cookie decorating ideas, nature journaling, and drawing wild plants that I encounter, I bought these to use as pens for me. Hence, I won't be using watercolors on the paper since it is too thin. While it might not be ideal for colored pens and pencils, it's fine for pencils and charcoal.
The back of the pad is fairly thick cardboard, but the cover is pretty thin and the sheets inside are thick enough to handle pencils and charcoal. According to the papers, they can be used with ink, but I haven't found this to be true. Their ink goes straight through them when I write in calligraphy. Generally speaking, my shipping experience was not very positive. Atop the pad, the spirals had been bent and the pad came in pretty worn condition. The thing is, I was not eager to return them because I wanted to begin my sketches right away. Even though the wires were mostly straightened and the edges were slightly bent, I am okay with them. It would not be a good product for work with watercolors or calligraphy, but it might be okay for students.
A 100-count box of these came to me a while ago I purchased two 60-page plain black sketchbooks a few weeks ago, and I had no problems with them, so I decided to purchase two more The sketchbooks have black pages. Unfortunately, both of the books arrived damaged, with the spiral binding crushed on both, which makes them impossible to read and turn As a result of both notebooks being wrapped in plastic upon arrival, they both have a few marks on the cover that indicate wear. A section of the inside pages has been bent over and is tipped up near the binding, which seems unfinished. They were damaged before shipping and even packing, so it's clear they were damaged before shipping. So that I can turn the pages, I hope I can bend the spiral back into place. My preference is to go with a reputable brand like Strathmore or Canson, both of which This was also my first sketchbook purchase and it was excellent - I can't wait to get another one. Normally, I have no problems with the sketch book paper I get, however these two that I just received are indicative of poor quality control or.
My initial reaction was one of happiness, followed by disappointment. There was no damage to the package when it was received because it was wrapped in plastic. The book was hard cover as promised, so I knew it would be easy to draw anywhere. In spite of this, the first 4 pages had to be torn down due to a very large rip on them that looked to be from the manufacturer since the outside was sealed and there were no tears on the As I noticed most of the pages had black smudges on them from the hard cover of the pad just rubbing off on them, I became even more disappointed. The next time I buy this, I won't.
I'm just not that impressed with this drawing book. As the pages of the book are marked, they can be removed from the book, which is the best solution for my needs. As you can see from the photo, the paper has a yellow sheen to it. The paper quality is rather rough and thin, and it is rather rough. In my case, it was just that I wanted a book that I could do stretches in so that I would then be able to get them on watercolor paper to paint from.
As a fashion designer, I use this sketchbook to sketch and design, and I am very pleased with my selection - it is perfect. found it particularly interesting to see the thickness and sturdiness of the cardboard backing-an area that most manufacturers omit from their products (just like the paper quality, the spiral, etc-all of which made this product deserve its 5 stars). For the price, this is an absolute steal - it's competitive with far more expensive ones out there. (I ordered the "painting" graphic version) The cover is very beautiful and comfortable to hold. It's hard to fault the sketchbook in any way, although the cover could be thicker and stronger (for those who may bang up/stress their sketchbooks more than I do, it may be an issue, despite.
