The box I received with this item from Amazon was rather heavy, so when I opened it, I was confused and wondered what I ordered. Thank you so much for making my daughter's birthday gift an excellent one! I was impressed by how heavy duty the pages are and how the tint is perfect! Water colors and prismacolors are among the things she uses it for. There are no words to describe how great these drawing sheets are!.

It was surprising that it was so good

Based on my first impressions, I have written this review. The URL for the ruler does not work, maybe it's sold out, but I will contact them. The ruler came saying I won one, but the URL doesn't work -- maybe it's sold out. In any case. My favorite part about the older shade of Tan is how dark it is. Strathmore Toned Tan (STT) is darker than this hue. Almost all STT machines are about 80 lbs whereas Nil Tech's are 107 lbs, so I can't wait to try them In addition, I like the lack of inclusions of fibers (nearly none) in the paper. Besides fiber inclusions, STT has no indentations, which is fine for those going for that look, but I prefer not having them, so this sketchbook is a good option. The scene appears to be There are also 70 pages of paper in it, compared to 50 sheets in STT. I'm so sorry! This sketchbook is True Size and micro perforated, just as it appears in the product picture. The dimensions of the paper will remain the same even if the sheet is torn out. If the sketchbook isn't True Sized, it is a pet peeve of mine. Continuing to compliment the colour of the Tan used, I like it a lot. The darkest paper compared to STT, but the lightest to Borden Riley When I use it, I'll update with art. The initial impression is that it's really good so far.

I am occasionally heavy handed during sketches and this paper actually holds up very nicely. I am sometimes very heavy handed and the paper has not indented over to the next page. A further advantage of erasing is that it doesn't affect the texture or tone.

My favorite sketchbook paper is so good that I ordered a second book just in case it doesn't last. I love how it's a warm tone and it doesn't have tons of imperfections like Strathmore Toned Tan paper. A smooth and consistent tone can be seen on the paper. In addition, the binding has stood the test of time so far. It has a good texture to it, so it works well for inking with a waterbrush, and for highlighting with white colored pencils. This is a great tool for it. The material is not the thickest in the world, but it takes water fine, even if it warps a bit when wet. A small gouache study can also be done with it. In general, this is my favorite toned sketchbook I've come across so far.

Just to shade little spots took such a long time

Maybe I am smearing and spreading this wrong but, for shading, I am used to black charcoal that drips easily and spreads like butter. This was almost impossible to spread and smear. For some reason, it took such a long time to get the white charcoal to smear on the We might be able to make it Using white charcoal on black pages is the first time I've done so. As far as I've been able to do is just use white charcoal pencils on it so far. This paper has a smooth texture instead of the rough texture that most sketch papers possess. I think other mediums would better show up than white pencil on paper as it doesn't show up as much on white paper under certain lighting. However, overall, I think the paper is okay, other mediums would show up better than.
