I am B. Hello, B. Thank you, Samuel! On this paper, I used oil pastels that applied well and covered the pages effectively. The Super Deluxe paper is very similar to pastel paper in its texture and thickness. If you want a paper designed especially for pastels, we also have 98 lb pastel paper in a variety of colors in sheet packs.
This is not a hardbound edition The front and back of the cover are made of heavy cardboard.
Even though the picture shows a different size notebook, I ordered and received the 6 x 6 (even though it is shown in the photo). There is a 93 pound weight on it.
Quite a lot of the dye shows on the backside, but not completely. There are no other markers I use like this on my Bee Paper Super Deluxe sketch pad, because it's the only pen I use that may be seen on the other side. Unless you keep going over the same line, it does not flow through to the next page. Then, it may bleed a little.

Their services have been in use since 1984. It's the most comprehensive multi-media sketchbook on the market. From 1984 to the present, I have used this product and it has always worked fine. It is a pathetic blotter by comparison with Canson mix media xl. Even though the strathmore's mixed media visual journal is excellent, it only has half the pages for the same price.
