Make a drawing on a piece of paper and then try to erase it. The situation is identical.
It's similar to newspaper paper. The paper isn't as thick as regular printer paper. Newspapers were printed with the same material. Newspapers used to be a type of media that reported on national and international events, as well as stories, interviews, editorials, and other types of content.
On two layers of paper, I tried using a sharpie. The color on the back of the first layer was visible, but I couldn't see anything on the second layer. Pat

I work in a library, and each quarter the library is focused on a different topic. We've done things like paint on windows and cut out construction paper figures in the past. It was difficult to remove the paint, and the cutting out was time consuming. As a result, we chose to paint a picture on the newsprint. I'm not at work today, so I can't send a picture, but it's quicker, less messy, and everyone likes the end result.
Next time, I'll pay a little more for a cut-edge paper roll. If you don't use scissors, almost every piece will be ruined.
This newsprint roll is a great deal for the size. Sketching and drafting are a breeze with this tool. The paper is very light in weight and has an off white/grayish tone. This was not an issue for me because I planned to use the paper to make my own sewing patterns. My only gripe is with how bad the 'cutter' on this thing is- The box in which the paper is delivered is made of cardboard and has no cutting capabilities. Simply use scissors or a blade to save time and avoid ripped paper.
When we first began paper training, this roll of newsprint was ideal for a litter of puppies. Every 1-minute, I rolled out a new piece for their pen. Over the course of two days, I layered newspaper. It was a breeze to clean up. I had to cut with scissors, which was the only drawback. There isn't a metal cutting edge, which would be a nice touch.
There is no such thing as a tear-proof sheet. I'm used to newsprint tears, but this is a whole new level.
Everything is in order.
Paper. Good.
