Questions & Answers
The color is similar to that of a newspaper. That's exactly what it's all about - imagine a page from a newspaper that isn't filled with anything. It also has the same texture. The idea is that it can be used to practice on because it is large and inexpensive.
The tablet bears no indication of the country of origin.
It isn't as smooth as coated paper, but it is acceptable.
This product is used to make tempra paint paintings for preschoolers. When wet, it sags a little, but this isn't a problem for this age group. I haven't tried it with rubbings of gravestones yet. It's not a particularly heavy paper, so if you don't rub too hard or get the paper wet/damp, it might work.

I usually use Strathmore 32lb newsprint, and I ordered two pads of this, which I have already used up. I'd like to point out that the texture is a lot slicker and flimsier than I'm used to. It may appear that it makes no difference, but repositioning the 18X24 under the clamps, as I do, is a chore. You'll also need to pad the drawing by placing several sheets beneath it. The cheap look, the way the paper actually hangs on the board and still shows wrinkles no matter how many clamps you put on it, is what I despise the most. It's also whitish rather than tan or gray, which doesn't go well with charcoal.
I bought it for my son because he expressed an interest in improving his drawing skills. br>br>The item is a large pad with a large number of sketching sheets. br>br>Because I struggle with stick figures, I'm not sure if this is the best paper technically. The only issue is that the paper binding was bent almost to the point where sheets were loose. br>br>Only issue is that there is a large amount of paper for a reasonable price. br>br>Only issue is that the paper binding was bent almost to the point where sheets were loose. The enormous paper pad arrived in a box, and it was strewn about inside. It could have swung around a little. In addition, the package appeared to have been raccoon mauled.
This paper has a rougher texture than Canson or Strathmore products, in my opinion. Even charred willow stick marks, which are easily wiped off on other papers, stick to it. Depending on your goals, this can be beneficial or detrimental. This absorbency makes it difficult to erase completely, and it can also be a bit bleedy. It does, however, really well with markings, which I like. It has an unusual spongy texture and is reasonably priced.
At art sessions, I use this pad primarily for gesture drawings with charcoal pencils; the texture is suitable for this medium.
There are so many possibilities! It's impossible to beat. I've used it a lot for charcoal drawing on an art board; my only complaint is that I have to use 2-inch charcoal. When using the upright easel and art board, I work on three sheets at a time to avoid scraping and damaging my materials.
This paper is ideal for quick sketches. Great for figure drawing classes and any other type of drawing where you need to be creative and sketch out a design. The mediums adhere well to the paper, and the pad's cover is sturdy and well-made for quickly turning pages if the artist is working on timed sketches. I absolutely adore this paper, and the price is unbeatable! It blends well, but keep in mind that this is only a sketching paper. A fantastic purchase!.
It has the appearance of a composite notebook (hence the use of newsprint). My best friend is crazy about it, so I decided to put my main idea on canvas. Art and sketching are two of her favorite pastimes.
