Please accept my apologies; I am unsure. It's a bit rough around the edges. I bought it for my grandson to use as a drawing surface. His drawings will benefit from the large tablet.

Canson Biggie Newsprint was perfect for my needs because I had recently started doing life drawings and needed something I could use to sketch quick gestural poses of people in everyday life that wasn't too expensive and was a decent size. br>br>The Newsprint quality has a slight "tooth" or texture that allows for the use of softer lead pencils, but if you use anything from a 9H to a F, it may be difficult to see the markings without applying excessive pressure or strokes. Felt tip pens and markers have a tendency to bleed through to the opposite side of the page, whereas ball point pens appear to be more forgiving. br>br>I'm about halfway through one of these and I've noticed that some of the pages have started to fall out, so be careful when manipulating and handling the pages. I go through these quickly and treat them with less care than I should, causing them to fall out more quickly. br>br>Overall, if you're looking for something inexpensive to use for sketching, or even charcoal type sketching that requires a lot of practice and repetition, I'd recommend this; otherwise, consider investing in a heavier paper for more elaborate drawings.
br>I bought these crayons, markers, and stickers for my grandson.
Great for chalk, crayons, markers, pencils, pens, paper airplanes, oragami practice, and so on. We didn't use paint because the newsprint appeared to be too thin to withstand such abuse. Aside from that, I'm happy. It was also nice to find a thick pad that he could go through in a week or so.
It holds up well to 'erasing. ' Love it!.
The newsprint is fantastic. My daughter used it for a school project, and it looked just like a real newspaper.
For the quick 1, 2, and 5 minute poses, I bring this to life drawing sessions. br>It's cheap, but it's tough enough to withstand a lot of pencil strokes. br>I switch to a Strathmore 400br>Series pad when we move into longer poses.
I still start my designs on paper and eat these pads whole. I couldn't imagine my life without them. Smooth newsprint that is affordable enough to be used as - well - newsprint, for example!.
He had been stealing his father's printer paper in the past. Now that he has his own supply, he's busy drawing weiner dogs and ninjas, among other things, with his Fantasia pencil set.
