Questions & Answers

Why is it only 20 pounds in weight? It was just delivered. Has anyone gone through the sheets and counted how many there are? This product appeals to me, but the quality appears to vary depending on the order. ?

If your bundle did not weigh 25 pounds, contact the seller and request that they correct the problem by either shipping you the missing paper, crediting you a partial or full refund, or returning the bundle to them and reordering. I'm guessing they use roll ends and that the sheet count varies depending on the paper weight. I've ordered this a few times and haven't counted the sheets because I buy by the pound and notice the weight difference in sheets almost immediately.

In this 25-pence package, how many sheets of paper are there?

I'm not sure how many times I packed my kitchen and china cabinet, but it was more than enough. PS. There are five different sets of dishes in my kitchen.

Is it safe to use to start a fire in the fireplace?

Hello, my most recent batch, which arrived on November 28, 2018, had approximately half glossy sheets. I don't think I'd ever had any until that order - Unless there are a few sheets in a couple of orders over the summer - With a shift to mixed weight and minor size variations, this was the case. I think there was a hint in the title or information to that effect, so I went ahead and tried it. Batches contained one of the regular newspaper weight newsprints up until that point. I'm not sure what to do with the last batch, which is about half glossy! While it is stiffer than other newsprint, the gloss makes it slick and the stiffness makes wrapping items difficult. It's a lovely sheet of paper. I'm just not sure what it's supposed to be used for. It's similar to gift bag paper, but it's a lighter weight than most I've seen.

What exactly are this paper's dimensions?

The measurements are approximately 2 feet by 3 feet. Expect the dimensions of this type of packing paper to be off from time to time, but the paper is heavy enough to provide excellent cushioning for breakables.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL, AND NOT REGULAR NEWSPAPER PAPER
3/5

The paper I received was not newsprint, which is a light, matte-finish paper. I received a thick, glossy magazine stock that is significantly heavier than newsprint. As a result, this 25-pound package of paper had roughly the same number of total sheets as a 10-pound package of newsprint, and I had no choice but to use it because I didn't have time to wait for another delivery. The stiff, glossy paper felt like fingernails on a chalkboard; the description and photo both show newsprint paper, which is what I expected.

It's not newsprint at all
3/5

Over the last few months, I've ordered newsprint from Amazon several times, and the paper is actually the same weight as regular newsprint. This paper, on the other hand, appears to be made up of "factory seconds. " The paper is extremely heavy, and because it is sold as 25 lbs, the bundle contains significantly fewer sheets. In addition, every third sheet is made of glossy paper. If you're looking for standard newsprint to wrap items in for packing, this is not the place to go. If all you want to do is fill up some space in a box, this method will suffice. Very let down.

This piece of writing irritates me
3/5

This isn't newsprint, to begin with. The paper is extremely slick. It's so slick that it'll slide off the top of a stack if you stack it. Every fourth piece has a wax paper texture to it. Scotch tape has no chance of sticking to it. As a result, I must discard these items. I've previously purchased this brand, and it was not as good as this. When I opened it, I saw it looked like this. I suppose I'm stuck with it for the time being. This is something I will definitely not order again.

For packing, this is the ideal blank newsprint
5/5

After witnessing professional movers pack once, I ordered blank newsprint from a local packing company for my most recent move. I ordered this package from Amazon for this move, and it arrived on time and in perfect condition. Another commenter claimed it was glossy paper, but it wasn't. My newsprint was thin, blank, and matte, making it ideal for wrapping. I am a kitchen aficionado, and I generously wrapped dinner service for 8 people, as well as wine glasses, bar items, glass baking dishes, and other kitchen-related items. There were 17 kitchen boxes in total, along with various household fragile items and some extra paper. I'd buy it again!.

It gets the job done
3/5

The product was exactly as described and arrived on time. I like how each piece of paper is different in thickness. For more delicate items, I used the thicker paper. Because of the paper's packaging, I'm docking points. Unfortunately, it rained on delivery day, so my paper became wet, and I had to wait a few days for it to dry before packing it.

Not in the same order as before
3/5

This newsprint came in a package that I purchased. I used every single one of them. The previous order has been reordered. NO NEWSPAPER WAS RECEIVED. Rather, it's a semi-autonomous system. clay with a sheen coat paper that can be used to print brochures It can still be used as packing, but it is much heavier per sheet and is more difficult to mold - If it sticks out, it has the potential to break something delicate. Regardless, I had to use it as packing for a move that had a deadline. I wish I had had the opportunity to return it.

Ugh! Stay away from the heavy coated paper! Do not purchase for the purpose of packing! I read the reviews that said this was a heavy coated paper that wasn't well suited for packing, and in my battered box, I found it to be exactly that
3/5

Regardless, I ordered this stuff while we were in the process of moving out of state. Mistake! One of the people who got the slickly coated paper was me. We still used it, but only for non-fragile items. It folds and crushes too stiffly to be useful for anything other than filling empty space or folding flat to add padding to the bottoms and tops of boxes. It folds and crumples into sharp edges as well: Be careful not to cut yourself on it, especially if your hands are dry from packing. Booooooo! Packing is a nightmare with this product! Because of that awful coating, I'm assuming it can't recycle or compost, making it a huge waste. Ugh! What a blunder it was to buy this! It's not a good idea to do that!.

This isn't Newsprint, so it's only for void fill
3/5

This was purchased to fill in the gaps in my collection. This isn't a print edition of the news. It's matte on one side and glossy on the other, as the other reviewers mentioned. It's made of thick paper, like the dust jacket of a good book. It's possible to wrap a book in it and mail it that way. As long as the tape is in good condition. I only had to pay $19. It was sent in a flat box, but when it arrived, it was stacked at the bottom. I wish it had been wrapped in plastic. Because it was tossed around in the box during shipment, the paper was discolored and torn. Because the paper is glossy, it was difficult to get it out of the box, and I ended up tearing or soiling about 20 pages because I couldn't get a grip on the loose paper. It simply accumulated on the ground. I could have lifted the paper out of the box with the help of a plastic bag or rubber bands. This paper isn't meant for delicate items, but it could be useful for a heavy ceramic piece.
