In reality, the gsm differs. I noticed that the thickness and texture were different. I didn't care about the gsm because the paper was great for packing dishes. This isn't your paper if it does, though!
The number is more like 140 than 400. The paper I got was a little thicker and heavier than regular newsprint.
This should be addressed directly with the seller rather than as part of a general review of the item.
Both sides of the paper are extremely smooth. I imagine the charcoal would be difficult to stick to and smear.

It's difficult to scrunch up for padding in boxes, and its thickness makes it difficult to wrap things in. br>br>In addition, you might think "10lbs" means a lot, but it's only about 50 sheets in reality because it's so thick and heavy. I'd be able to pack everything 2- 3 boxes of medium size For $9, I went to Lowe's and purchased actual newspaper-style packing paper. You can see the difference in the picture I included; the bottom paper is this item being sold on Amazon, and the top paper is the newspaper style from Lowe's. This is not the paper for you if you're looking for something similar to this for packing boxes in a'moving residences' situation.
We were relocating to another state. Although I dislike buying "moving supplies" (I believe they should be given away for free and then returned when they are finished for the next guy, etc. ), I purchased this paper to aid in the packing of delicate items. I didn't realize how important paper quality was until I ran out and had to rush to the nearest big box store to get some. The one you buy at the store is thinner, so you have to use more of it to wrap an item, and the sheets are smaller. Because this paper is wider and thicker, you can cover an item completely with just one sheet. It's also a good cushion for the bottom and top of your boxes. I paid $9 for a big box of paper. 99 cents per sheet for a total of 120. However, you'll need a few for each item. The 21. When you consider that you can wrap more with less paper, the price of 00 is a better deal. I'll come back for more of this paper when I'm done with the bad stuff.
The weights and thicknesses of these sheets of paper varied a lot. There was a complete lack of uniformity. THE THICKNESS OF THE SHEETS MADE WRAPPING A DRINK GLASS OR A VASE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. I was looking for plain newspaper, but instead received a strange mixture of waxy paper that was so thick that I had to fight it to keep it wrapped around anything. This is something you should avoid purchasing.
Packaging and photography are two of the reasons I purchased this. I've bought it twice already and will order it again only because I'm in desperate need of cheap packaging paper. The lower rating is due to the paper's color and weight being inconsistent. Some sheets are extremely thin (such as newspaper), while others are extremely thick (such as. . I'm guessing it's because of the thick printer paper). There are no white sheets; some are grayish, while others are yellowish. It's all in the same order as well. br>br>What exactly is the issue here? Well, I don't mind the presentation aspect of this paper because I use it to stuff packages rather than wrap the actual items. I wrap my packages with tissue paper and poly bags, so no matter what the paper looks like, my packages look the same and my customers aren't the wiser. However, I need to be more aware of which sheet I'm grabbing when I'm packing things up. If I require a thinner piece that is gentler on the product or does not take up as much space, I must select one of the thin pieces. If I need to fill a lot of space but don't want it to shrink even more in transit, I'll use the thicker pieces. Alternatively, I may need to use twice as many thin sheets to fill the same space as thick sheets (or rip a thick piece in half to fill less space). It just adds to the frustration of shipping because I have no idea what I'll get next. It shouldn't be like receiving a box of chocolates when it comes to shipping. br>br>For flat lays and shoe photography, I use these sheets. They work fine, but because the colors aren't uniform, I have to make sure that my lighting is adjusted to accommodate the cooler gray or warmer yellow. Again, it's not the end of the world, but it does add a layer of complexity to my already hectic days. br>br>I'd look for a different product if it weren't for the price and the fact that I'm not sure if a different product would be any better. It's simply more convenient to use this product.
It's not newsprint or anything close to it. It has a lustrous finish and is extremely thick. Because it does not fold or bend well, it is not ideal for use as packing paper. It's also a different size and contains fewer sheets than the description indicates. It's not even close to newsprint in terms of color.
This purchase comes with a substantial amount of paper. It is, however, not very user-friendly. You'll need a large enough space to unroll the entire roll of paper at once, which isn't terrible but is inconvenient. In addition, much of the paper has been torn up. This roll of paper was not packaged with any care. There was a single tie in the middle to keep it in place, but the ends were left unprotected and torn. That was a huge disappointment. I feel like I was duped into buying this product.
This stuff is fantastic; I wrapped all of my valuable dishes and antiques in it for the move from Florida to Tennessee, and nothing was broken or damaged because it was properly wrapped. Also, there are no ink marks on white items.
I didn't, and now I'm kicking myself for not doing so! I saw the picture, read the description briefly, and remembered that I had previously purchased newspaper packaging, so I decided to buy it. hey - This must be exactly what I'm looking for. WRONG! This is completely pointless. As other reviews have stated, the image is deceiving. The paper is thick and white, and it's thicker than most gift wrapping paper, so it won't work for that. This is going in the recycle bin right now. I can't even return it because my husband threw the box away, and finding one that fits the shape would cost about the same as the paper. It's a huge letdown. I was in desperate need of shipping paper, so I had to go to my local Staples and spend even more money on overpriced packing paper.
