I bought this to go with an art easel I bought from Target in 2016. UPlay is the name of the company. Because the sizing appears to be between most standard rolls of easel paper, it was a little difficult to find a replacement roll of paper for this easel. I ended up buying this 12" roll, which fits perfectly, with a little extra room on the wooden dowel, which is fine. I bought two rolls of Melissa and Doug paper for it, both of which were of excellent quality and lasted a long time.
The side piece that held the slat in place for ripping the paper had completely broken off. It appears to be constructed of low-cost pine. It would have been too difficult to return it because my 5-year-old granddaughter had begun to use the paper and was able to cut it with her scissors rather than ripping it from the guide; however, I was able to repair it with some glue and a screw. Now all I have to do is wait for the other side to fall apart.
The paper is thick enough that it doesn't tear during the activity and has even stood up to our 2-year-old's paint puddles. In addition, the quantity of paper appears to be reasonable for the price. Melissa isn't my favorite actress, to be honest. Doug, however, I am very pleased with this product and plan to purchase more when our current rolls run out.
The Delta double-sided storage easel is one of the items we have. It was purchased somewhere else, but the rolls of paper were not available. Despite the fact that this is a Melissa and Doug product, it was an ideal match. The paper isn't flimsy in the least. It doesn't bleed through when she paints with watercolors, sharpies, and Crayola markers.
The rolls are simple to work with and transport. We use them to make banners and decorations, despite the fact that they were designed to be used in an easel. Kids spend the entire day making "welcome," "Happy Birthday," and other banners, which are proudly displayed; older children drew village scenes, incorporating townspeople, buildings, festivals, and other details; and it's the perfect indoor activity when the weather isn't cooperating for outdoor play.
Although the paper is thin, it is good value for money. It's a good choice if you have a child who enjoys drawing, but I'm not sure it's appropriate for professional use.
Installing it was a breeze. It's a big hit with my dsighte. Crayons are a little more difficult to work with on top gloss than on regular paper (you have to press harder), but that's fine. You can use both sides of the reel, which is a great deal!.
So do we. She . This is a big hit with my granddaughter. So do we. She doesn't have to ask how many sheets of paper she can have; she just gets what she wants, and because the refill isn't expensive, reordering monthly isn't a problem, and it keeps her occupied.
