It works well, and we haven't noticed any bleed through with a variety of paints so far.

What is the thickness of the paper? Is it appropriate for painting with watercolors?

It's a sturdily constructed piece of paper. I believe it is thick enough to be used as a water paint medium.

Is it possible for a Sharpie pen to bleed through this paper?

On the paper, you can draw with markers.

Is there any way to tell if this paper is transparent? Is it okay if I wrap it in it?

The paper is sufficiently thick to be used as wrapping paper.

It's paper on a roll, so there's not much to say about it other than the ends are clean and smooth, and it's rolled tightly
