Compared to watercolor paper, this paper has a bit of a rougher texture. You cannot see ripples on the paper if you use gel medium or watercolors. Mixed media is a great use for this. My preference for this pad is a lot better than that of Canson Mix Media. As for the journal, I will be using Strathmore Mixed Media.
Like the other respondents pointed out, it's not smooth, but it's not as rough as, say, the watercolor paper of a moleskine journal. My favorite things about this book are the quality of the paper, the convenient size and it
The Strathmore 500 multimedia paper is presented here. There is a slight difference in texture. On one side the teeth are smoother, but perhaps a little bit softer than on the smooth side. If colored pencil is used, it seems to burnish a layer or two sooner. If you are using watercolor, it seems to be better to work on the more textured side. Drawing with graphite, pencil, or ink works well on either side of the journal. The same texture is used in both sides.
Sure, I agree. In both cases, the problem is the same.

Although I wasn't expecting much from a $7 journal, I'm in love with it! My collection was given to me by my mom since I've finally had time to get back into art after 5 years of school and I've been trying out While the paper is pleasantly thick and has not buckled or peeled under watercolor or gouache paint, it also has a fine enough tooth that I don't notice weird bleeding or texture issues with pen or ink. Protection based on a soft cover which adds In general, I avoid spiral bound notebooks due to how easy they are to bend, break, or tear, and because I can be rough with my art supplies, but I have been incredibly pleased with how this little book has been holding If I throw it in a messy purse or backpack, I can trust that my workings will stay safe and I will hardly hurt it. During one of the DND sessions I spilled a lot of water on the page, and it has not warped at all. In one of the photos you can see the page after I spilled quite a bit of water on it. My favorite sketchbook is the 5. Normally I like larger notebooks but I love this one. I use the 5"x8" size because it's portable and less intimidating for someone like me who is afraid to get started, but the space is enough for me to have enough room to write. There are many things I would like—such as a tie or magnetic clip to close it, or an interior pocket in the style of the Moleskin—but I can DIY these things without having to spend much money, and for $7, I'm not surprised that these features are missing. In general I have been pleased with this little book, especially for the price. If you're looking for a solid, simple sketchbook that can handle a variety of mediums and techniques, give it a shot. My current one is nearly empty, so I definitely will buy it again when it is gone.
My works have been heavily inked, painted, and glazed with gouache and it didn't bleed. The software can also handle multiple layers of data. It is also one of the best options out there that does not buckle or warp a lot with wet mediums. I think it may be one of the best options out there and I prefer it over some other brands. (The images are of ink and pen as well as.
It is the best journal out there - It's the best book of all time. Journaling is one of my favorite pastimes while we are on our cruise adventures. I can make photo books when we return home, which I still intend to But as an artist and someone who is creative, this is a wonderful material removed the binding, clamped it together with rings, so I could do special techniques with tissue, medium, paints, and even stamp along with my drawings in the book. I did some mixed media pages to prepare for my journey, and some drawings to color on my journey. It was a lot of In the book we will have all our special memories saved, I will wrap the spiral binding around pages so they will remain handy when we leave for our trip.
It is a wonderful piece of writing. The weight of the dog was 90 pounds. Paper is 100% cotton and can be used with most media types. It is best to use this with wet on dry technique. It does not behave like Arches or Fabriano. Also great for graphite, ink, pigment pens, Pitt Artist pens, watercolor markers, India ink, technical pens - etc. Use a blotter underneath alcohol markers so that they do not bleed. This is great! I love it so much. My sincere thanks to the journal for including it in this format.
This sketchbook brand is one of my favorites. There are hard cardboard covers on the front and back of the book. They can resist wear and tear easily. A part of one of my models only warped a little bit after being splashed with water. Seeing as I like to carry my sketchbooks in my purse, they have to withstand quite a bit of wear and tear. In addition to the spiral binding, I like it because it makes it easy to tuck mechanical pencils and pens in. I also find it to be the perfect size. I need a sketchbook that's large enough for me to be able to draw on comfortably, but not so big that I cannot This paper is quite thick, and can take most types of ink, watercolors, and pens without bleeding.
It was exactly what I was looking Even so, when writing with a Sharpie on the pages (I tested on one of the last pages), the mark shows through onto the opposite side pretty faintly, and if you press hard enough, it will bleed through onto the back side of the pages. The book is about the size of a journal you might buy in a store like Walmart, but it's of far greater quality. cover of the book can be removed, and the printed design on the front can be removed (and in my case, I had a neat little pattern on the front that only really shows up in direct sunlight). As I mentioned above, it holds up extremely well to watercolors, and the spiral binding makes working with it much easier. It is to be expected that water-colored pages will curl a little after they are dry. In general, the price is great for what you get.
It's filled with Zentangle sketches. Since I first discovered Zentangle, I've used them exclusively for drawing. Furthermore, they work very well with watercolors and markers based on alcohol. As well as pencil sketches, you can also use pens. The slight texture of the paper is very appealing to me The friction provided by the tip is just enough.
It's great that the binder has side walls. You can decorate an additional cover page that sits below the exterior of the visual journal. You can use it to track your progress, track your learning progress, or to document your experiences. Sizes range from small to large. The two sizes I bought fit together perfectly. A mixed media canvas can be used. As soon as these are worn out, I will purchase more. It's nice to see the.
