Questions & Answers

This paper is suitable for dip ink and calligraphy nibs. How does it perform? When I used this brand of drawing paper to do calligraphy, it bled. ?

When I use this paper for dip pen calligraphy, I apply watered-down ink I am writing Sumi ink down. Since the paper is thick, there will be no bleeding through.

Considering you are placed on top of a computer screen in a dark environment, would you be able to see through? Getting an outline requires me to be able to see through the paper?

Yes, of course! Although it's a heavyweight paper, I was surprised when I placed a piece over my iPhone and was able to clearly see the image behind it in a dark room. This might be of some help to you.

Are colored pencils able to be used with this? Do you think this paper can be used in a laser printer without damaging it?

To my personal taste, this paper is too smooth to use colored pencils, but works great with a Laser printers are not sure if they will work.

Can you tell if this is ?

There is no translucent aspect to it.

I love using markers and colored pencils on this paper
5/5

I've been having a hard time getting my son to focus on art. He has been making these since he got this paper. He's only been doing it for 7 months. My turn is now, so I'll let him handle it. There is a lot to like about this paper. With it, I can blend my markers well and it handles my markers well. The fine point pen I use is a set of bic 36. Colored pencils are then added to the top of the markers. My set of Prismacolor 48 was used for this. The paper has been changed to the color I want it to be after I used the markers. Furthermore, the paper does not even feel different when using the markers. I am able to achieve a more realistic result among my color pencils when using markers. This allows me to identify my highlights and to strengthen them. My goal with the pencils was just to The most common layers I use are light ones. With this paper, I am able to use my technique perfectly.

It serves the purpose it was created for
4/5

For both my landscape painting course (watercolor) and my advanced drawing course (charcoal and sharpie), I had to buy tons of this paper. While I found that the paper worked well with watercolor, I had to make sure not to add too much water to the paper to keep it from warping and keeping my paintings flat. A painter using that medium would have difficulty with it. However, the obstacle isn't as great as it might seem. As a result, this paper absorbs ink so well and gives charcoal such a smooth, soothing finish. I encountered no resistance in any way.

I don't use any other card stock on the planet
5/5

This product is of the highest quality. Colored pencils, water coloring pencils, and similar items are my tools for this project Bristol Smooth & Smooth archival paper, colored with copic markers In addition, Vellum is used. In the long run, this paper will hold up well. However, we must note that with Copics, the color will seal through the paper only in a few places that are passed over with a marker more than once. My experience with this pad spans all sizes and I have used them all. A pad of paper can easily be removed & removed It is impossible for the paper to come off with the glue used to stick the sheets to the pad. This was often a problem in the past, but it hasn't been as often the last few It is possible to use both the top and the bottom surface of each sheet. The yellowing of my skin has not been noticed with age and I don't see any signs of sagging skin A portion of my artwork has been in the family for 15 years. It is highly recommended that all artists use Bristol card stock.

I don't think I have ever used better paper
5/5

The amount of time I spend on my work is around eight hours It takes a lot of paper to design stuff for a lot of the time I spend drawing and designing stuff every day. In addition to this focus on clean lines, I also take a lot of pride in In consequence, I am in need of good-quality paper (and I'm convinced that there are some crappy papers out there), and I cannot afford any The Strathmore Bristol 300 series is by far my favorite. I buy the 19x24" pad and cut it to fit my illustration needs. It is smooth as silk and works perfectly This paper does not bleed, even when you hold an alcohol marker (Prismacolor is good) for a while. Sharpies work well on it, as do microns and Copic multiliners (all these can be purchased on Amazon). The paper is absorbent enough so that you won't smudge your black ink unless you run your hand over the area you just re-inked (of course you wouldn't do that at ALL lol). Using watercolors on this bristle is even possible you just have to tape any excessive warping down to prevent smearing. I find this paper to be phenomenal in its entirety. This is a highly recommended book. It is of the highest In addition to making good stuff, Strathmore also makes good stuff in other areas. Brand of good quality.

Paper that I like to use for marker illustrations
5/5

This bristol paper is a favorite of mine for markmaking illustrations when I am a freelance illustrator/2D animator. The pros are I am* *br* This feels good in the hand. I am* *br* I was able to fit it in my purse, but it would also fit in a backpack or messenger bag easily. Markers work incredibly well with this product! The ink doesn't feather and there is very little bleed through. I am* *br* To mark it, I have used the following markers In addition to Copic Sketch and Copic Ciao markers (like most of what I've used), Spectrum Noir and Winsor & Newton acrylic paints As of late, N accounts for the majority, followed by Marvy Le Plume brush markers (second) By the way, I love these markers! Effortlessly affordable and a great alternative to Copics), and Prismacolor brush markers are also available. The drawbacks are I am* *br* This paper does absorb a substantial amount of ink, so you will use up your markers very quickly. (Any Bristol will be like this. ) - It would be wonderful if any brand would make these kinds of papers My entire life would be better if the binding was not glued. There is a tendency for papers to fall out, and I find that annoying. The binding is excellent (though cheaper brands are undoubtedly cheaper. This version of the software prevents pages from falling out as )

All images shown are my original work, and were created with In my drawings, you will find characters that have been commissioned by or owned by clients. I do not permit the use of my artwork without my consent! If you want to use these characters, you need to ask their owners to give you.

The ink is inexpensive and it works well with this printer
5/5

When I am using this pad to write, it works beautifully with the inks I use. In my opinion, feathering doesn't do much, but it does create a nice sharp (I am referring to the smooth part. As for the vellum, I have not tried it. It's good for fixing small errors but not for large or severe ones, since this creates a hole relatively The document can be printed on a small inkjet (mine is a Canon), but a printer with a wide carriage would be needed to print it at 9x14 inches. I've cut up to 8 x 10 or 5 x 7 and my laser printer (MX922) works just fine. I've also hand lettered on the heavier series (400 and 500), but I haven't tried printing with them yet. Calligraphy, artwork ink, and acrylics are among the things I prefer using Strathmore's pens over other brands. This is the only one that I'm interested in.

A great and heavy weight paper that works well for virtually any medium of artistic creation! An excellent paper for virtually any type of artistic work
5/5

It's heavyweight and easy to work with. I have found that it works great with medium and large format inkjet printers as it is virtually bleed proof. The heavyweight drawing board is great for markers, colored pencils, and any type of fountain pen or ink pen, regardless of what some commenters claim. The great thing about it is that it is also great for acrylic painting! The illustration paper board in this final illustration is one of my favorite pieces and is a favorite of mine as an illustrator using marker and colored pencils. It is ideal for laying down smooth marker colors or color pencils because it is a lot smoother. The board is great for any thing to do with ink pens and ink! It is difficult to price these large format boards due to the fact that I like and tend to use larger format boards.
In addition to the much thicker, heavier ( and more expensive ) drawing boards, this illustration board has been my "go to" This is a highly recommended product!.
