Questions & Answers

Is the surface smooth or rough, and can I use a pointed pen to write on it?

It has a slick finish. As a result, it should work well with pointed pens. I only use it for inkjet printing, and it provides far better resolution and color clarity than their rough surface cards.

Is there a set of envelopes to go with this packaging?

Yes, 100 cards are included in each of the 100 packs. a set of matching envelopes

Is it ivory or white on these playing cards?

They have a slight tinge to them when held up to my "bright white" laser printer/copy paper. I've worked on them for a long time and never thought, "Wait a minute, these are ivory," but I suppose it depends on what "ivory" means to each of us and how white-white you want them to be. They aren't a blue white at all.

I don't know what to think. Is it true that the cards are 5 x 6 in size? 10 x 7 or 87? They are listed as 5 x 6 in the title. The dimensions in the description are 10 x 7, but the item number is 87. ?

Mixed Media cards from Strathmore Not in a good way

Strathmore is teetering on the brink of a collapse. WAS once a dependable brand, but no longer is. 10" x 7" mixed media cards with scoring for easy folding They're white, slightly textured, and thick enough for collage, Turkish marbling, and light watercolor. I've been using these for a long time and am very disappointed with my most recent purchase. The envelopes do not match the cards (although they do match the Printmaking cards, which are more of a cream color), and at least a dozen of them are not scored in the middle.

THIS PAPER SHOULD NOT BE COLORED WITH WATERCOLOR! According to the description, it's a mixed media piece that's great for watercolor. This paper is not suitable for watercolor painting in any way. Watercolors can't be used on this paper because it's too thin. It's made of paper. Unusable.
