Questions & Answers

What's the best way to get them ready to go?

Many people believe the markers are dry, but this is not the case. When they arrive, the nibs/tips are white, indicating that they are brand new, which is a good thing. To get the posca to work, you'd have to do the following: br>- posca should be well shakenbr>- remove the cap and prepare paper to catch any paint spillsbr>- Take your posca and press the tip of it against the paper to pump it. Don't press too hard; instead, move it up and down until you see the paint flow down to the posca's tip. Continue to pump if the liquid does not reach the tip. In most cases, a three It should be enough with four pumps.
- You're ready to go as soon as the paint reaches the tip. br>br>An easy way to keep these posca moist is to store them upside down rather than right side up. Most of the time, keep the cap closed until a snap is heard. Posca are fantastic, but once they've dried, they're useless unless you get a new nib or tip. I hope this information is useful to someone.

"Reversible tip for a long life," says the description. Is this something that can actually happen?

Yea. On both ends, everything is the same. So, if it starts to look old and worn, you simply flip it. If it becomes clogged, it will not help; instead, you will need to clean it.

Is it possible to write on resin with these?

Yes, I believe they will write on resin, but I'm not sure how long it will last; they will almost certainly need to seal the writing.

Is anyone else experiencing this smear when they put on Dodge Dodge?

If you're talking about Mod Podge, yes, it can smear if you don't let the paint dry completely before touching it or adding more colors/lines. The pen lines, on the other hand, will not smear once they have dried. I've used these pens to sign artwork in a variety of mediums, and they're fantastic. To avoid a gush of paint when starting, I always push the starter button on a scrap piece of paper.

Posca pens, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, I'm using them for various types of detailing in my artwork and will continue to do so
5/5

They perform far better and more smoothly than the "paint pens" that we all recall! They work perfectly when properly shaken and primed according to the directions. Don't take it for granted that you understand how they function. If you've never used these markers before, the directions will save your life, your heartache, and possibly a lot of wasted time. I hope this helps y'all!.

It was well worth the money! Posca is a fantastic brand, and I've been eyeing these acrylic markers for a long time after trying out other brands that just don't measure up
5/5

I use them to add small details to my paintings and to jazz up my scrapbooking! They're so versatile; I got them on sale, but they're well worth the full price; and I got them very quickly, the next day! If you're new to acrylic markers, give them a good shake before using them. Then press them down (on paper would suffice) so that the paint can run to the tip of the marker and leave a blot. After that, it's time to put them to work!.

It had dried up
3/5

I purchased several sets of Poscas from Amazon. They appear to be dried out of the ones I got today. I'm trying to use them on a smooth rock, but I have to keep dabbing them on the cardboard to get the ink to come out again. It states that I am unable to return them and that I must contact Amazon directly. My recommendation and advice is to be cautious about who you buy your pens from.

These are a little tricky to use, but they're required on a lot of occasions
3/5

These are a little difficult to use, but they're on a lot of art supply lists, so I picked them up. If you aren't prepared for a big blob of paint to come out the first time you use them, be careful. You have to push on the ends to get them primed, so be careful. If your surface is wet, you may also ruin the nibs. It takes a while to get used to them and enjoy them. I haven't yet reached that point.

Horrible
3/5

Do not waste your money on this. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on these "fine" paint markers. First and foremost, they are NOT fine! Second, pressing down on them causes a large glob of paint to spill out. I figured I could work with it if the markers worked like a "thick," rather than a "fine," marker. It was OK, but not great, the first time I used it. Then I attempted to paint small dot flowers on the back of a mandala rock that I had labored over for several hours. I lightly touched the tip of the brush to the rock to make a small dot, and the paint poured out like it had been dumped! It rolled down the rock onto the side I'd been working on all day, destroying half of my mandala with a massive blob of paint! They're going in the trash because there's no way to get a refund.

One of the most effective opaque acrylic markers available
5/5

I'm an acrylic painter who works on canvas and creates extremely detailed, *tiny* patterns. It's sometimes difficult to get that small with a brush, even the tiniest ones on the market, so I've been looking for acrylic paint pens that work on canvas, work with traditional fluid/heavy body acrylics, and are fairly opaque. Posca is one of the better brands I've come across, particularly for the price. The paint is opaque, easy to apply to canvas, and has a nice color range. br>br>There are a couple of flaws that make these less-than-ideal: the colors are a little dull-looking; They aren't particularly pigmented, but they are opaque, so I find that I can use the Poscas for detail work (especially filling in small open areas) and then dab a little fluid acrylic over the center of what I did with the Posca to intensify the color. The nib could be finer, and if left uncapped, it will dry out quickly. Furthermore, if you use the nib on any wet media, it will become "gummed up" and unusable. br>br>In general, these (along with the Derwent Graphik Painters) are the best acrylic paint pens I've found for working on canvas. It is strongly suggested.

A BEAUTIFULLY PIGMENTED COLOR
5/5

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN SAY? First and foremost, the seller promptly delivered these lovely pens to me - I was so excited to get my hands on them and start putting color on paper that they arrived within a few days of ordering them. As a result, the seller deserves praise. These pens are vibrant and colorful - The color is vibrant and pigmented. The instructions on how to "prime" them must be read and followed. Normally, I'm so eager to get my hands on my new art supplies that I just tear them open and start working with them. Fortunately, I had previously purchased pens that required priming, so I was patient and did what was required to begin the paint flow. These pens have a lovely flow and a consistent paint load. The fine point set was purchased by me. They aren't fine enough to write in standard size lettering (at least not for me), but that isn't why I bought them. I would probably recommend the extra fine tip for intricate zentangles and mandalas, though I believe the fine tip will suffice in less intricate patterns. They're ideal for doodling and filling in small spaces with color. A friend buys the large size, smears color on her paper with her fingers, and then buys the small size. I haven't tried that technique with mine, but I would highly recommend these pens to anyone looking for beautiful color, from beginners to seasoned artists.
