Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use these on acrylic or plastic? I'd like to make a wine glass that is "unbreakable." Thanks! ?

I tried writing our names on the bottom of an acylic plastic cup that we use for church dinners and other events, and it worked fine. The ink coloring, however, was not as dark as I had hoped. My cup, on the other hand, was a bright green color. You might be pleased if your glasses have a frosted finish or are clear. I hope this information is useful.

Is it possible to use these on a mug? I'd like to make some personalized mugs for Christmas, but I've heard that regular sharpies won't cut it. thx?

I haven't tried these on mugs, but I have tried regular Sharpie on mugs and it didn't work; In the dishwasher, it washed away. These were purchased to write the students' names on the desks in my classroom.

Is it possible to scrape off the color if you make a mistake with these on glass? Is it possible to apply a laquer finish as well?

Alcohol takes it off easily if you use 91 you can use regular rubbing Alcohol as well as well as well as well as well as well as well as well as%

Is it possible to cover metal with these?

It depends on how dark the metal is; I used them to paint white coffee mugs and they came out beautifully. Pink, green, and blue are the colors I'm working with. So they're not the same as the ones in the picture: metallic, red, black, and so on. I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance. I believe you will be fine but you will not 100%

I used these to make mugs and they were fantastic! I used these to decorate mugs as gifts for the holidays, and they were a big hit! If you're going to use these to make mugs, I'd suggest wiping the mugs down with alcohol first
5/5

After that, wait one day for them to dry. 2 days (I did two, and hand washing hasn't caused any fading). ) Don't put it off any longer. The designs wiped right off after I baked them after I had some left over for a week. br>After that, place the mugs in the oven and preheat to 350°F (too hot will warp the color, making the gold appear bronze). br>Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the mugs for another 30 minutes. br>Leave them in the oven for at least an hour or until they are cool enough to touch. Wait 72 hours before using them, and make sure they're clean before doing so. A simple hand wash is all that is required.

Exceptional craftsmanship! I don't usually write reviews because I'm too lazy
5/5

I've had these pens for a few months now and they're fantastic. These pens are used to write on metal parts where I work in manufacturing. They write well on both raw metal and painted surfaces, even when there is dirt and oil present. The color is vibrant and noticeable, and the flow is consistent (as long as the cap is on when not in use). It dries quickly and is difficult to remove. But the real reason I'm writing this review is that I just got a black marker out of the washer, which was full of my clothes and my dry-cleaning. shirts that are in good condition No ink was spilled during the entire washing cycle because the cap stayed on! Sharpie probably didn't design this feature, but as is often the case, well-built products outperform the manufacturer's claims in unexpected ways. p. br>br>p. br>br>p. br>br>p If you ever forget to cap the pen, simply dip the tip in a small amount of alcohol (I usually use a water bottle cap) until the flow resumes and the alcohol turns the pen's color!.

Excellent marker, but patience and a good start are essential! I read a lot of reviews for this type of marker and decided to add my own to the mix to assist others in making their decision
5/5

This marker is extremely effective. Paper, glass, and the surface of blu-ray discs are all examples of materials that can be used to create art. blu-ray discs and DVDs - However, planning is essential. This is only true when you're using it for the first time, like right out of the box. It was just like using any other marker after that. First and foremost, SHIFT IT! For at least 45 seconds to a minute, alternate between back and forth. Then take a piece of paper and press the tip of your pen up and down on it. Nothing will happen at first; this is normal, and it will take some time; I believe it is simply ink coming down into that tip. It took a while for me, and then there was a huge SPLAT of ink. I tried writing with it after a few more presses and it worked perfectly; I store it horizontally and have had no problems with it even if it has been a week or more between uses. I hope this information is useful!.

Sharpie mugs are fantastic! I purchased these sharpies after reading that they could be used to decorate mugs, and my plan was to personalize dollar store mugs and give them as Christmas gifts
5/5

br>br>While this is probably not the best application for these oil sharpies, I believe the designs are as durable as you'd expect. br>I mean, I wouldn't put your sharpie-designed mugs in the dishwasher, but they've held up well in light hand washing. br>br>You can type what you want on the mug and print it out using computer fonts you find online. Cut around the designs (or words) once they've been printed. After that, shade with a pencil on the paper's blank side. Once the back of the design has been shaded, carefully tape it to the side of the mug where the design will be placed. br>br>With the same pencil, trace over the design, and then remove the small paper from the mug to reveal the design! Using the sharpies will be a breeze once you have the design outline. Yes, these Sharpies are my favorite. br>br> The designs, unfortunately, do not last indefinitely. Yes, they are something I would recommend.

Coffee cup that can be washed in the dishwasher! Allow 3 days for the enamel to cure, then bake at 450°F for 30 minutes
5/5

coffee cups with a unique design that stays put even after multiple dishwasher washes! PERFECT for a coffee cup design that will be around for a long time! Allow 3 days for it to soak into the enamel before baking for 30 minutes at 450°F. Everyone who claims it doesn't work hasn't allowed the ink to cure for three days and hasn't baked the cups at a high enough temperature. IMPORTANT NOTE: Place them in the oven cold (after 3 days), preheat to 450 degrees, bake for 30 minutes, then turn off oven and leave until it cools. Make sure your mugs don't get too hot.

I needed something to go over spray paint with, and this was exactly what I needed
5/5

I needed something that would write well on glossy spray-painted rocks. I tried painting with acrylic paint, but it turned out to be a disaster. I did some research and came across these paint pens, which I thought would be worth a shot given the low price. Wow! They're exactly what I was looking for, and they're fantastic! Though these are intended for writing on glass or ceramic and then baking on, I know I won't be able to bake rocks with spray paint on them, so I also purchased a clear varathane top coat to keep the paint pen designs fresh. This has been such a great project!.

Storage capabilities are lacking
3/5

They're great right out of the box and might be cost effective for a single project, but they're not so hot as a general marking pen. br>br>I've discovered that regardless of how long it's been stored; After a week or two of not being used, the fibrous and 'porous' tip appears to dry into a solid stick. Correct paint ball agitation, but when depressed, they all just exuded a large blob of paint. I have to clean the tip with a paper towel before dipping it in the mess. It's as if it were a quill pen. br>br>It depends on your needs, but I wouldn't buy it again for my Sharpie product.
