Selected User Reviews For Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Marker, Medium Point, 3-Count (Metallic Gold)
In the case of a cast address sign, retouching it I cleaned it and then sprayed it black, then wanted to fill in the numbers with gold oil - Sharpies with oil-based paint are great for this (video on the web suggests this). The reviews of others convinced me that I needed at least three, even though I thought only one would be adequate. I was able to paint about half of number 1 during the first one, which lasted about 30 seconds. As soon as it dried, it was gone. I was able to complete the number 1 and paint most of the number 8 during the second one, which lasted approximately 30 seconds. As soon as it dried, it was gone. During the course of my following directions, I was careful There was no stickiness in the tips- This is probably a result of dried up paint inside. The thinner did not wash away the gunk, but I tried it anyway. According to the reviews of many people who went through the same thing, I am glad I ordered three. It was a good idea to try the third one.
However, these pens did the job, but they did not have that bright gold finish that I was hoping Unless very brightly lit, it is more of a bronze color. The dark is very intense. Besides being dull really quickly, my lines got thicker and thicker the more I drew on my wall, so I had to redo my first lines over and over again. In the end, the results turned out OK, and I'm happy enough with them.
Using these paint pens, I filled in the letters on my car's tires and it turned out really well! There is only one thing off about it, and that is getting used to how to get the amount of paint on the tip consistent while we are painting. Here's what you need if you need a product that is good and adheres well to all your craftsy surfaces.
They were purchased for use on iron weight plates by my husband. After painting the rims gold with spray paint, he bought the pens to write on them. I really like how well it sticks and how easy it is to apply.
I think they're pretty good, and, considering they're only $9 for a set of three, the price is hard to beat. Buy a U. S. Marine Service flag from Walmart for 99 cents. I painted the flag on wood and used this to color in the United States Marine logo called the EGA (eagle globe anchor). You just need two coats to make it really stand out.
In my experience, I found it to be an ideal tool for DIY projects. I love how easy it is to use and how smooth the stream is. This tip is well-balanced and operates at a moderate rate. The color is a pretty gold.
Although this product is a little dull, it is still a good buy. As soon as it dries, it looks brown.
This is a great set of markers for the price they came in great shape and worked right out of the box.
