It's what we use to mark truck parts, and it's the same paint that local auto parts recyclers use. The oils and solvents used in our shop do not wash it away once it has dried.

I've discovered that going back and forth with a light touch is the most effective, as opposed to going in one direction with a firm touch. That did not result in a smooth line; perhaps it is dependent on the surface. I used to use sidewalk chalk, which worked just fine in between rainstorms. The rain appears to have no effect on this stuff. I lined four pickleball courts with the entire package of sticks.
I required the ability to write lien sale dates on automobiles. This is an excellent solution. You don't need to clean the windshields before writing on them; simply write on them. After a few days in the sun, however, it becomes white. I got Orange, but all of the cars on which I've written are now white. Scratching it off with a utility blade is an easy way to remove it from the windshield.
As far as I've seen, these pens are much cheaper on Amazon than they are from other companies. Seller and product are both highly recommended.
This reminds me of grease pencils, don't you think? It doesn't leave any messes behind. The barrel is extended by turning the knob at the end. For my purposes, it appears to last an eternity. Before throwing away boxes, I use it to write labels on them.
Working in the oilfield, it works on oily pipe as well. It's 1/3 the price of a sharpie and just as good. I'm willing to part with them for rigging.

The product arrived in 12 individual packs, which is odd compared to the box, but I can't complain because the sealed individual packs are more fresh.
