This product requested that I rate it on "ease of use," "sheerness," and "thickness. " I'm not sure what sheerness or thickness mean, or whether they're desirable or rate-worthy. able marker traits, but these markers are only marginally better. They arrived with a card promising $10 Amazon gift cards in exchange for 5-minutes of your time. star reviews (as long as they don't mention the card), but I'm not in desperate need of the $10. I believe that the offer has skewed these reviews. They aren't particularly noteworthy. A number of coats (3-4) are required to mark dark surfaces. 6 in my experience), the nibs are extremely stiff and prickly (getting caught on a variety of materials), and many of the "bright" colors come out as pastel versions of those colors (what you see isn't always what you get). br>br>On the plus side, all of my markers arrived undamaged and without any leaks. The flow of each marker is fairly consistent, and each marker was individually wrapped in plastic (which was a pain to remove, but I didn't have much choice because they didn't always fit back in the box until I removed them) to keep your markers safe even if there was a leak.
. I'm trying to think of something positive to say, but I'm having trouble. Plastic wrapping was supposed to be a positive because I can see their good intentions, but it still came across as a negative because, as much as I want to give good reviews to everything, some things aren't that great. These markers are particularly appealing. They don't feel smooth, the lines aren't as predictable, and they aren't as opaque as they would have you believe. They do the job, but they're not very expensive. That's what they're called: star acrylic paint markers. They aren't deserving of their current Amazon ranking. They aren't bad, but don't expect great results if you purchase them.
This is the rock on which I drew my design. . . I adore them, and only wish they were refillable.
I recently began painting rocks to leave out for children of all ages to find, in the hopes of spreading a smidgeon of joy in these trying times. I began by using standard acrylic paint and detail brushes, which worked perfectly! But I'd been hearing a lot about these acrylic pens, so I decided to give them a try. br>This box appeared to be a great starter box; the price was reasonable, there were 18 colors to choose from, and the reviews were positive! I'm not disappointed in the least! Each pen was wrapped in its own unique packaging! They're simple to paint with and a lot of fun to use! I haven't painted many rocks with them yet; I started with a few simple ones for the kids. I like the colors, how simple they are to use, and how much detail you can get out of them. This purchase has made me very happy!.
I like drawing on glass jars and transforming them into attractive containers. These pens are excellent performers.
These pens are ideal for drawing fine lines, writing words, or adding details. I recently used them to make a memorial rock for my garden, and the fine lines turned out beautifully. It's a little difficult to write with them, especially if you're writing on smooth rock. I believe that writing on a smooth surface, such as ceramic or glass, will produce excellent results. It's best to practice first if you're on the crafty painted rock bandwagon (as I am).
We worked on these for almost two hours as a family, and it was a lot of fun! br>*We never ran out of paint, but we did a lot of detailing with the black, so if you're doing more than what's shown in the photos, I'd recommend getting more black.
In addition, there is a lot of variety. Nibs are tough and have a small plastic guard on them to keep them from being mushed. (To avoid drying, I recommend storing upright. ) ) A smooth application allows for fine detailing as well as a wider range of coverage. My only complaint is that I now want THESE pens in every color imaginable! Metallics are a must-have.
They're simple to use, quick to dry, and a lot easier to use than a thin brush. Despite the fact that they are rather small (I had hoped for them to be larger), I still find them to be very enjoyable. If you're painting an area with a lot of texture, you'll need to shake the pen a lot to get all of the paint out.
