Despite the fact that I don't use a palette knife very often, I bought this on a whim. The idea that it could be rarely used didn't appeal to me. There was a mistake in my thinking. In addition, to make lines or horizons, this tool is used all the time to reach into tight spaces. I can see more clearly where I am placing the paint because the long thin blade allows me to see in more detail.
