Questions & Answers

I'm here. I'm not sure from what category I should select the knives Knives with a large blade or knives with a traditional blade?

What you are asking is not clear to me. Although, it looks just like a regular pallet knife. I own one similar to this and love it. Sturdy but flexible and easy to use, it is durable and easy to handle. I'm called Dorothea

Would we be able to use it as frosting?

Using this particular palette knife will make it difficult to frost a cake or even a cupcake properly. It is very narrow. You might be able to use it on a mini-computer Apparently, cupcakes.

Do you know how flexible the blade is? What is the best way to replace a Che son 814 blade that is very thin and flexible?

It's not too hard to change. It is also flexible and very durable, which is why it appears to be the only knife I can use to cut and slice.

What is the best way to use this ?

I'm fine with that

This is amazing
3/5

In what way are we truly well-off The way this palette knife is packaged is very different from the way computers and electronics is shipped from Amazon. Their packages often include mailers and boxes that don't have padding. However, other than that, it's essentially a palette knife. The handle is uncomfortable because it's too thin Instead of flat and smooth, it would be better if it were round and contoured. Moreover, it would be better if the angled neck were an inch instead of being merely three-quarters of an inch The quarter. In my opinion, the construction is sturdy, as the blade has a firm flex but there are no flexes There is a caked layer of paint at the bottom of the handle that is slightly rough. The level of this is definitely beginner or student This is a knife of grade Delete or discard if no longer needed one you are not concerned about losing or discarding). If you want something that you will be able to use for years to come, you should.

Gesso spreads easily with this tool
5/5

The weave of cotton canvas makes painting delicate details more challenging, as well as getting 'clean' edges. I no longer use cotton canvas for painting. My first step was to apply a coat of 50% Gesso/50% Modeling paste to the canvas and spread it evenly. A knife like this is ideal for this purpose. It is so large and flat that you will not be left with any lines or tracks left behind. It worked so much better than inking with a cake icing knife. As well as using it for gesso alone, it works so much better than a brush for spreading gesso onto wood canvas. Several of the functions are very easy to manipulate. The ergonomic design is very comfortable. This is a highly recommended book.

This one is pretty sturdy and kind of creepy- A razor's edge
5/5

This knife is meant to replace a palette knife that snapped after only a few uses (and not very forcefully). It is a lot shorter than the blade I had before, but I quickly got used to it. After using it for the rest of the school year, it looks exactly like it did when I first got it, apart from some paint on the handle that I didn't bother to clean. The one thing I don't like about it is how sharp it is. There are some people who like that feature in a knife, and it obviously makes it more effective for scraping, however my issue was that after some time it would scrape a small hole through my palette and let paint get onto the next layer (wax paper). TBH, it isn't that big of a I believe it is worth the investment due to the quality and durability. A great price is included as well. When I'm shopping, I tend to look for the cheapest product with a decent rating.

The paste application device is the perfect tool for stenciling
5/5

The metal painting knife makes a great alternative to my plastic painting knife after using and tiring of my plastic painting knife for several months. The smooth application allows me to apply transfer gel and embossing paste over my stencils and I must say that it works extremely well. With my new knife, I don't have a problem with snagging like I did with my plastic knife. I would have made them my number one knife if I knew about them first. Two more have been ordered, and I'm currently waiting for them to arrive. I've seen a few reviews that mention how this knife is too flexible for There is a small amount of give, but I didn't find it to be incredibly flexible however, keep in mind that I use this only It would certainly be an issue if you were heavy handed, as this knife might not fit you. For the purpose of my use, it's just right. It's not quite as solid/strong as say a spoon or fork, but for my use, it's okay! In this case, there will be no deductions. The attached images demonstrate the problem.

There is no avoiding the fact that large knives are very There was a large number of them that I ordered
5/5

Due to the rivets on the handles of all Liquitex large knives, the blade will not pull out by itself. It used to happen to me quite often when I used palette knives/painting knives. **The number above is large. **The number above is large. In addition to 16, there is 16 - The knife is made of steel and has two rivets through its long tang and measures 11" from the tip of the handle to the end This is the knife you want if you want a big knife. There should be rivets to hold the Liquitex knives together, particularly the small ones.

The painting knife is very useful to cover larger areas in smaller paintings and to shoot with
4/5

Weighs only 10 oz. and is made of high-grade materials It is an easy-to-use palette knife that is well-balanced. There is evidence that Amazon sends numbered palette knives at random. As a free replacement for my original order for #12, I received #3 and the #6. The process of getting a refund after Amazon sent me an incorrect model for the second time was quite difficult. I had to call the customer service several times and wait for quite a while. Finally, I bought it from a store that specializes in arts and crafts.

This would be great for window glazers
5/5

My use for it is unusual, but the glass I replace in homes has to be gutted loose from the seal to replace it, so we have to remove it from the seal with this tool. My experience with this tool has been excellent over the past 15 years. It's the best I've found for cutting the silicone and butel holding the glass to the frame. Because of the curve, it's perfect for getting deep into the channel, and it's so thin, flexible and lightweight, it's way thinner than any putty knife you may own. Any glazing workshop should offer this to customers as soon as possible.

I don't know
3/5

Basically, it does what it is supposed to do. Based on what I have seen, it seems to work. I must say that it's not particularly bad, just a little more than I would like to pay for it, it's got a wooden handle which is essential I made it- I am pleased with my buy of this butter knife. It is not as flexible as I would like, which was the reason I bought it, but it will Construction does not look cheap, which is a good thing, but it does not feel extremely It looks like middle ground to me. Due to no availability of this particular style near me, it was the only option for me since I don't need a full set, so it is fine, but it wasn't really "all that". It was maybe a little disappointing since I The likelihood is that the item will not be purchased.
