My pleasure. Thank you very much. These knives are safe for use when painting but I do not believe they are safe to use when cooking. As a result, we recommend avoiding it with

Their stiffness is out of control This knife does not have the flexibility that should be the hallmark of a palette knife. A different reviewer also complained about the same thing. happened not to read the reviews before I ordered them (normally I do), but I noticed that beginners or first time users seem to think they are fantastic. Having a palette knife that is flexible makes a big difference in how useful it is when you are mixing paint on a palette and when Unlike the paintbrushes, these palette knives all have a very pleasant variety of shapes, yet they are all unusable. One of them is not even attached to the handle on the smallest one in my set. Paying a couple extra dollars for a set that works properly is much better than buying one for a couple of dollars more. It is common for beginners to buy cheaper materials, thinking they are going to get better ones as they become more adept at their craft. However, as a beginner, it is important to realize that poor quality tools will often result in poor results.
This is an important aspect of using a palette knife for mixing paint since these aren't flexible at all. On a flat surface, it has enough bend to wipe off the paint from the long skinny one, but not enough to wipe the paint from the top. In the event that you were planning to use them more as a spatula for something else, they are okay. This is not great, but it's okay. I feel, however, that it is advertised as a palette knife and is quite unsuitable for this use.
You should be wary of buying from a stranger. The brushes I bought were for my husband, who is an oil painter professional. There was one knife that broke out of the packaging right away. One by one, the others are breaking. The only time he uses them is to mix paint, never to actually paint. In addition to that, he mixes without being aggressive. It was only because of his tried and true knife being discontinued and the fact that he needed at least one knife immediately that I did not return them. After all, we should have returned the knives and let him take a vacation while we waited for a better blade.
My profession is not that of a painter but that of a guitar repairman. These little knives are used for removing fretboards from guitars. However, they are thin enough to still do the job while still being rigid enough. This cost about a tenth of what I was previously paying for "name brand" knives. Because they are so cheap, if one or two of them gets destroyed during the process of replacing a board, it doesn't matter much. This is the perfect pair for me.
Despite their small size, they seem sturdy enough & have a nice professional appearance. They are ideal for delicate work like painting, crafts, pottery, etc. The sanding marks are very light from production and were not 100% fine sanded and buffed to a mirror finish however, because these are tools, they're not fine china, and for the price, they can't be beat! Having made this purchase, I am pleased, and I will be ordering more to give as gifts to other crafters.
Getting the Lightwish Palette Knife Set is a great investment if you plan to mix paint or paint with a palette knife. With smooth wooden handles, the palette knives are well-made. The metal spatulas are also of high quality. This type of knife may be used to mix paint effectively and is easy to clean. My daughter accidentally left some acrylic paint on the spatula when she was painting, but the paint didn't stick to it, and we didn't have any problem getting it off. One of the things I dislike about these spatulas is that the metal is Since the metal has no flexibility, it's hard to apply sweeping strokes, details, and other textural effects to the canvas that I can with a This is a beautiful set of palette knives and I find myself loving the look and feel of it. Until I can find a metal set for actual painting, I will likely keep this set as paint mixing tools.
I am a professional artist and art teacher, and I bought ten sets to give to my students during a class on palette knives. As I was considering the price and judging by their description, they seemed like a good product. However, when I received them, it was not like that. They seemed sturdy and perfect for my class, as they were new to using paint palette knives. In spite of this, many, including myself, broke off the wood handle right off the metal shank. A closer inspection revealed that the metal shaft was barely attached to the handle, and that it was not long or carved deep enough into the wood to prevent it from snapping off, so with very little pressure it would snap off, requiring surgery to change These knives are not worth a thing. They are a massive waste of money, no matter how good they look. In order to spend more, I have learned a valuable lesson. As a result, I feel that I must replace all the knives of my students with better quality models. This product is not to be trusted.
This is a great product I have painting done all over my house and have paint on my furniture anyways, I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me. They're light and metal is easy to clean. The wood has some large grains so the paint can get trapped and discolor it a bit. There are no better options for the money that I could find.
