Hi there. It measures 3/4 of an inch. I'm not sure what the number 14 means in this context, but it isn't numbered that way.
To my knowledge, no one has done any research on this. Some people believe the animals are killed, while others believe they are shaved once a year for their winter coat. Killing your fur supply seems counterproductive.
Large washes and loose painting are ideal with this brush size. When using just the tip of the cat tongue, you can get some pretty precise lines. I have a smaller version of the same shape from a different manufacturer that I use in tight spaces; This brush, on the other hand, was purchased specifically for background washers.
The Black Velvet brushes are manufactured in Sri Lanka, according to the Silver Company's Facebook page.

quality "Cats-" belly, incredibly thirsty For a long time, I've been using the "Tongue" brush. I'm relieved to report that my search has come to an end! Despite the fact that the brush took three days to arrive, I must say it was well worth the wait! It was in excellent condition when it was delivered. I quickly painted a quick watercolor painting to see if the brushstrokes matched my creative vision. They did! That was the point at which I realized I had fallen in love. I photographed my sloppy, under five-minute painting several times so you could see what could be done with just one brush. The brush's belly is fat enough to make a large petal and thirsty enough to hold a lot of paint and water. The brush's point is so fine that it can even be used for fine detail work! I have to say, I adore silver brushes, and this one met all of my criteria. I'm going to buy another one in a smaller size, and I highly recommend this brush to anyone who wants to work with high-quality tools, whether they're a professional or a beginner.
I own several Silver Brush watercolor brushes and adore them; I'm a big fan. I use the size 6 in particular on a daily basis. This brush, on the other hand, is terrible because the hairs fall out and land all over your artwork. I thought after the first couple of times of painting with it, it would stop shedding, but nope, it still comes out every time; I like the shape of this brush, but at this rate, there won't be much of the brush left, making the initial design of the brush pointless; I like the shape of this brush, but at this rate, there won't be much of the brush left; I like the shape of this brush, but at this rate, there won't be much of the brush left;.
This is an excellent brush that maintains a sharp point. It's my go-to brush when I need to clean something. My favorite brushes to use are the Silver Black Velvet ones. They're a cross between a squirrel and a Risslon, with a large brush that can hold a lot of paint or water. I bought a 12 round and a sword brush because I liked it so much. The sword has yet to be used, but this oval is a fantastic brush. I've only lost one hair from the brush, which I use almost every day. Because it is so thick, it takes an eternity to dry and remains damp the next day. The ferrule is secure and does not wiggle.
It's a dream come true. It can hold a large amount of water as well as a variety of colors. It's amazing how well it lifts. It has a lovely design that makes it comfortable to hold. It always makes the same point. It's not springy, but it does stay mostly in each shape it's been moved into during use and moves easily in the direction I want. When it's wet, I can nudge it into or back into a particular shape with my finger, on paper, or whatever. I have a few more in this line and hope to be able to get more as soon as possible.
Everything from small washes to fine detail work is done with it. The 3/4" version is also available. Yes, there are less expensive options, but this one appears to be "worth it. ".
It performed admirably. I'm not sure how I managed to paint before it, lol.
This brush is one of my favorites as an artist. It holds a lot of water and allows you to create thin to thick lines depending on how you twist, roll, and turn your brush as you brush across your paper. I have some very expensive sable brushes, but I have to say that the entire Silver Brush line has left me very pleased. I was not paid to write this, nor have I ever received free products from a company in exchange for writing it; I simply wanted to let people know that these synthetic brushes are fantastic.
Brushes for water color washes are really nice. The filbert shape is still a new one for me. However, compared to a pure squirrel brush, this brush holds a lot of water and has a bit more spring. I get the impression that I'm painting with sticks when I use most synthetic brushes. They simply don't hold the pigment or the water. I occasionally crave a brush with a little more bounce than pure squirrel hair. When it comes to having it all, this brush set appears to be the best of both worlds.
