To be honest, I don't see any difference between this single brush and the similar brushes that came in a 15-piece set that I purchased. They hold the same amount of paint, apply it with the same ease, and clean up the same way. I figured that if I bought just one "good" brush, I'd be able to achieve some sort of miraculous result. I'm going to look for a more expensive brush, which means more than $20 for a single brush, and see if that makes a difference. I'm not unhappy with the brushes I'm using; I'm just curious as to whether more expensive brushes are better. Let's see how things turn out. I actually ruined one of these brushes by leaving it in my water tray overnight and not realizing it, so it didn't keep its shape. If you need a brush of this size but don't want to invest in a large set, this brush is a good option.
I finally found Princeton Select brushes after using more types of brushes than I'd like to admit. The 20/0 is my preferred fit. This brush is ideal for painting small cells in PBNs, which I do. In addition, the shorter handle makes it much easier for me to paint. Extras are always on hand in my house!.
I tried as many as I could before settling on the one that worked best for me. I also like that they have a few sizes that no one else does, and while they are a little pricey for a single brush, they will last a long time if properly cared for, making them a great value in my opinion.
This is ideal for my paint-by-number canvases.
Use on a regular basis. With my acrylics, it's working out beautifully for small, detailed work.
This is a fantastic brush. I began painting by numbers, which is ideal for small spaces.
Princeton brushes are fantastic, and I own a few. The 'petite' series is one of my favorites because the handle is a little thicker and easier to hold for long periods of time, and the small detail brushes are ideal for working in small spaces. And who doesn't like a cheerful blue? I'm sure I'll keep using them.
A great detail brush. Hair of exceptional quality.
