To compare the quality of three different brands of foam brushes (Wooster Foam King on the left, US Art Supply in the middle, and KingArt on the right), I purchased three different brands. The cut on these brushes is very consistent. When painting with latex paint, they were able to withstand the edge of the foam. These brushes are better than the US Art Supply brushes (those lost pieces of foam that were painted with latex paint), but they are not as sturdy or have as dense foam as the Wooster brushes. The Wooster brushes were the best, but they were also the most expensive; however, these brushes are excellent in this price range. They come highly recommended from me. If you found my review useful, please mark it. Thank you a lot!.
For work, I look at a lot of these. I usually use one to apply a couple of coats of mod modge or varnish to something before discarding it (rinsing and air drying between layers). During the first coat, there are small pieces of foam falling off. I've used ten of these to complete a task that would normally take two. I will never buy these again, and if I hadn't used any (which I had to do), I would have returned them.
To stain my stair banister, I was purchasing the more expensive sponge brushes from Home Depot for $1 each. I decided to give these a shot to see how well they worked. I was having to replace brushes three times as quickly because the foam was quickly breaking through to the plastic inside. The money I saved from going through them faster was not worth it. I threw these out and went back to the Home Depot ones that were $1 each.
Mod Podge was applied with these brushes. They performed admirably the first time they were used. Warm water and a drop of dish soap were used to wash the brushes. The handles were securely fastened and did not come undone. A small amount of foam shedding occurred the second time it was used. After one use, I'll discard the brushes. These were extremely low-cost and provided excellent value for money.
When fully loaded with paint, it maintains its firmness rather than becoming floppy. I make mile markers and signage for a local hiking trail, and I frequently use foam brushes on course wood, and I've found that they hold up well after several cleanings. For the price, these are of excellent quality.
These were ideal for my daughter's Valentine's Day party at school. They arrived quickly, as usual, and were exactly as described. They were ideal for giving each 2nd grader their own brush for their craft, and they were inexpensive enough that I could simply let them discard the brushes once they were finished. In a heartbeat, I'd purchase these again!.
They're foam brushes, and they're exactly what the description says they are. I will order again because of the quick shipping. I use these as one-time-use disposable brushes and find them to be a good value.
