No, it specifically states "DO NOT USE WITH SHELLAC" in the description.
I don't see why not, but I'm a newbie who only uses them to patch up walls and apply latex.
I made a $7 purchase. In February, you can get a set of ten foam brushes for 99 dollars. There were five of them, each measuring 1"L x 1/2"W x 2-inches in length. 3 at 2"L x 1/2"W x 2-1/2"Hbr> 1/2"Hbr> 3 at 2"L x 1/2"W x 2-1/2"Hbr> 1 at 3"L x 1/2" W x 2-1/2"Hbr> 1 at 3"L x 1/2" W x 2-1/2"Hbr> 1 at 4"L x 1/2" W x 2-1/2"Hbr> 1/2Hbr>Hbr>Hbr>Hbr>Hbr>Hbr> 1/2lHbr>I hope this information is useful!

Foam brushes are divided into two types: 1) Less dense: br>br> When you zoom in on a close-up shot, the image becomes more detailed. You'll notice a gleaming bubble-like structure at the tip of one. as if structures had been sheared off This makes the edge delicate, and while it will suffice for finishing wood and other materials, it will not last long. By the third of the six shelves, tiny little pieces of black foam have broken off and settled in your finish. If you're painting, there's no need to worry because the solvents in paint are unlikely to harm the foam. 2) Denser: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> The "bubbles" are smaller and the brushes aren't as shiny (almost a matte black). When compared to the less dense version, they hold up better when finishing wood. br>br>This is the less-expensive version of the product. I got a dense version, at least that's what I got. br>br>Another point to consider is this: I placed an order for the 25-pound bag. I bought a pack of 5 brushes in various sizes, and I got 5 packs of 5 brushes in total. Each individual pack was crimped, sealed, and clamshell packaged like Fort Knox - If you don't have a box cutter or a special pair of scissors for the job, you'll get a nasty cut. I had five of them at this point. I felt bad because there was so much packaging. I won't be ordering these again, and I may return to using real brushes for my finishing work, despite the fact that it is more time consuming.
Regular brushes, both natural and synthetic bristle, have the drawback of leaving channels in your finish. To get a mirror-like finish, you'll have to sand, sand, sand to get rid of the brush channels. The finish is smoother, a little thicker, and requires less sanding when applied with the Poly Foam brush. This was used for water-related purposes. I used a water-based polyurethane and was able to fill in all of the wood grain as well as achieve a perfect finish with minimal sanding in between coats. Burl wood has a lot of deep irregularities, but three coats gave me a perfect, mirror-like finish. Soap and water are all that's needed to clean up. Oil-based materials are used. based and most solvent-based finishes, and they're cheap enough to throw away once they're done. Some solvents may cause the foam to degrade, so read the labels on any solvent-based products first.
These small foam brushes are a great way to add some texture to your projects. in a variety of sizes that are useful - are beneficial in a number of ways. They should hold a competition to encourage people to use their imaginations more! Mine: I apply a foam self-tanning lotion with one of the small brushes. My hands have become tanner! There's no mess, and it works. br>br>Of course, I have a couple of painting projects in the works, and I'll put them to good use here as well.
These foam brushes are of extremely poor quality. I bought them to use as table sealants. Purchase a different product because I needed three brushes to finish the job because the first two fell apart.
These truly saved my life! When I submitted my supply request form for a GoLocal project at church, I forgot to include paint brushes. We couldn't have done any trim work without them, so I found them on Amazon and they arrived just in time for our project. They worked well, and at the end of the day, we were able to get rid of them. This is an excellent item.
I'm applying teak sealer to a set of teak table and chairs on an outdoor deck with the brushes. I started applying the teak sealer after power washing and sanding the set. The foam brush applied it evenly. However, the foam began to separate from the end of the handle about halfway through the table top. br>br>Given the price, I still believe these are a good buy, so I've ordered a second set to finish the job. That's fine by me, because I'm working in the sun and it's hot.
Hopefully, you've used similar brushes before and aren't expecting too much. These brushes performed as well as any other foam brush I've used in the past. These brushes helped me get the small areas on my deck that my brush couldn't reach. I used a semi-transparent stain, and as long as you use it correctly, it should work. Just enough paint to cover the tip is all that is required. If you saturate the entire brush, it will fall apart, just like the other foam brushes. It's just a piece of foam, after all. On small projects, I also use it to even out the stain. I'd buy them again if the opportunity presented itself. You only have to pay a few dollars if you break down. Each is worth 80 dollars.
This was a good purchase for the price; there were a lot of sizes in the package; however, when I used it, I noticed that the foam ripped easily and came off the stick; however, for the price, I can't complain too much; I simply grabbed another one and continued working on my project; I didn't have an issue with the amount in the package.
