Every year, I use thousands of these brushes as the owner of a craft studio. I bought these because they were Amazon's choice, but I will never buy them again. The head of the stick pops off after a few seconds of dipping and brushing in paint. I had to cut a small piece off each brush and staple each foam head four times to the plastic paddle inside the foam head. I've never come across such garbage brushes in my 7 years of crafting. Never order from this brand without first checking the manufacturer's website.
I bought these to use in my Etsy shop. I use modge podge to seal a lot of things, and these brushes fall apart quickly, leaving little bits of brush in the modge podge that look like dirt. The holes in the foam are also excessively large, resulting in streaks in the finish where there is insufficient coverage. br>On the other hand, these appear to be a great low-cost option for kids' crafts! I've never had the handle break off (which has happened on several occasions with other brands), so I know it's sturdy.
I ordered the 120-brush set, but when they arrived, I thought the bag was a little light. I counted them and discovered that the bag only contained 62 brushes. I'm a little let down. br>br>The brushes themselves appear to be in good condition and will accomplish my goals.
For years, I've used foam brushes for trim painting and have had to decide whether or not they were worth washing and keeping. With these, you won't have any trouble making a decision. Because they turn into paint-filled blobs and then the foam breaks, painting the first coat of trim on one door took me five brushes. They're not completely useless, but they're close; perhaps they'd be useful for crafts, but not for trimming.
Even with the tiniest amount of pressure, the product does not hold together. This item should never be purchased. Update: My low score prompted a call from the company. They sent me another bag that was identical to the first. As a result, instead of one, they now receive two stars.
Furniture and railings are painted with this product. In terms of painting, the brushes are only adequate. For durability, they get a one. They quickly develop a tear where the stick is attached. It won't be long before you have to throw it out and buy a new one. Most foam brushes, to be fair, do not last very long.
What appeared to be a good deal ends up being a rip-off. These foam brushes don't last a quarter of the time as others I've used before cracking. I would suggest paying a little more per brush because they are starting to fall apart. They should be avoided at all costs.
I've never bought anything so bad. The top is too long for what's inside, and it breaks after just one use. I use a lot of these in my craft business, and they're awful. I'm not going to buy any more of them.
