Selected User Reviews For Winsor & Newton Cotman Short Handle Brush (4 Pack) (Round 1, 4, & 6, One Stroke 3/8")
As you would expect from Winsor & Newton This set of brushes is of a high quality, Newton. Brushes hold a relatively large amount of water and both ends of the round ones come to a sharp In contrast, the number 1 round is small enough to be perfect for smaller details while the largest is large enough to cover large areas of your painting.
It has a flat brush that works great for wetting a larger area, or helping you to make a really fine straight line. The handles are a bit short, but long enough so that your hands can fit in them comfortably. Despite being springy, the bristles are not hard, they hold their shape well, and they bounce back after pressing. In all, I like these a lot. The brushes are a good price for what they are. If I only ever had these brushes to use, I would be very It's not the best brush out there, but it's good for a variety of styles of painting. Don't hesitate to buy them, you won't regret it.
I consider these brushes to be very good for the price. They painted with me, and I enjoyed it. As far as I am aware, brushes should be handled carefully. The brushes behaved exactly as I would expect a high quality brush to behave. Using them correctly and keeping them clean have enabled them to maintain their shape perfectly. I would recommend these to anyone who paints occasionally and is looking for professional results, or for anyone studying art. Personally, I am not a professional artist with a proven track record of successful paintings. have been painting for the love of it since I was a youngster. My friends and family love it when I paint them a card. This set of brushes was a purchase because for now, I have time to devote to art. For years, I bought Winsor and Newton brushes because of their reputation for quality from the days when I put a lot of time into art. I am very pleased with the brush set I purchased.
Excellent brushes for the price. I love the fact that it comes with little plastic covers because my area is quite dusty. It's inevitable that the paint will chip and peel if you use wood brushes, but that's just the nature of the beast. It's a lot nicer than similar priced products from other brands (which are often synthetic and have a cheaper feel). I generally use these to do watercolor paintings.
It was given to me as a gift and I love it. It has good hard enamel handles that are hard to break, so just like their paint, these hold their shape. It does have a down side, though its handles are short if you're doing a large drawing and you'll need to arrange it for a while. However, I tend to do small drawings, so the handles are just fine.
While it is nice to have these brushes for the reviews, in reality it is better to purchase only one of Neither of them is very versatile, their hairs are Now I will have to buy a better quality item. My recommendation for beginners is to buy a single brush of a better quality instead of a single brush of lower I felt demotivated as a result of them.
A good investment for watercolor artists! I'm very pleased with these reasonably priced brushes. I have so far not had any problems with point holding on the round brushes. The only thing I would change is to make the handles a little bit longer so I can fit the brush holder better.
This brush seems like high quality for the price. I bought it for my 11 year old daughter who recently took an interest in water color paintings. A warning on the back of the cards prevents me from giving them to him Chemical compounds in this product, like DEHP, have been known to cause cancer and birth defects (or other reproductive harm) in the State of California. I am in the process of looking for natural wood brushes.
I was recommended this brush by a professional nature illustrator and haven't been disappointed. It is of high quality and doesn't lose its bristles like some other brushes I've tried at this price.
