I received the palette knife from China, which seems to be of poor quality and doesn't have Bob's face as shown in the picture. However, my brush states Made in the USA, has Bob's face, and is painted very smoothly with a different shade of white. The bristles look like they are also made in the US. In my opinion, there may be other sellers providing the products (see how Amazon stocks supplies to meet delivery times), and throwing in their cheap knockoffs along with them. In other words, they sell products that are poor quality. It looks to be the same brush, but I don't buy it, as my half-size round brush is better. The company is doing too little to combat this issue. You must purchase the product directly from the company's website if you want to be sure you're getting the real deal. You're right, this is a great feature. It works well in removing paint from your Bob Ross palette, as well. In fact, it has so much more to offer. Palette knives allow you to paint an entire painting with them.
It seems to be the case. Having used it many times in my oil paintings, I found it very useful. It is something I use quite a bit. Please accept my sincerest thanks for your assistance.
Lettering shouldn't easily peel off since I believe it is permanently bonded. It is when I clean my brushes and knives that most of the lettering appears. Keeping mineral spirits and the like away from the handles is extremely important. The paint might come off in the process of getting the paint off, and you may lose some of the lettering in the process. In other words, if you care about the lettering,

There are some wavinesses in the edges of knives #5 and #10. The edges of both of the knives had to be straightened by running them over sand paper of a heavier grit about 30 or 40 times each. I should also mention that on the #5 and #10 knives, the metal was improperly attached to the handle. It is easy to see how the metal blades are mounted crookedly into the wood handles if you hold either knife vertically. When you use these knives straight out of the box, you're not making anything "Happy. ". When you buy Bob Ross signature products you should be getting a good quality product for the price you pay, not these subpar ones. For those wondering why I gave a perfect rating on all categories, I did so because I found it to be reliable. I bought the 1" and 1. 5" knives and the quality is the same as Artist Loft but at triple the price. These 2" brushes are made in the USA, which is great. In comparison to a Japanese knife (Weber), the blade of the Japanese knife appears to be about twice as thick. When company owners become so greedy that they would sacrifice quality for profit, this is what happens.
Made in the USA is printed on the product, the logo is in the right place, the paint is smooth and consistent. Though I haven't painted with it yet, the bristles are nice, and I'm confident it will do a good job. I'd rate it as a mediocre product. It was made in China with sloppy paint, no Bob Ross face (as advertised), etc. Amazon is not responsible for this issue. In the end, I will keep both because they will meet my needs. Still, I feel a little let down. A tool that is as much of a commemorative item as it is a tool is something I am glad to pay more for. The quality of the 10 inch knife is clearly much worse than the 8 inch knife. This is quite the opposite of my expectation of an all-powerful knife. Contains "Made in China" text. No Bob Ross logo (so it's not the same as the others). A few bumps are visible where paint dripped from the surface. The paint is uneven and blotchy. There is a metal part connecting the wood to the knife, but it is not flush or even with the wood all the way around. It appears that it will possibly Taking this back means returning to the past. The conclusion is There is a possibility that this is an Amazon supplier problem, where fakes mixed into the batch (see the article). If the brush is so nice, I can't see how they're putting out a poor knife. The company may be putting out a bad product but the knife is good.
As I have been using the Bob Ross palette knife for years, it has worn down so much that it is a tad rounded, and not at all as straight as I'd like. I bought a new one here recently. Even with the smaller edge being a bit rough, this knife is still a great knife. It was razor flat, but the large edge wasn't quite as razor flat as I would expect. Even though I couldn't feel it with my finger, when I tried to remove oil paint from a glass palette, a lot of it would stick to the glass. As a result, I sanded it down with some fine sand paper, and after using it for a few weeks, it has smoothed out considerably. The knife is still great as long as it's as sharp and as straight as it needs to be (the first one I bought A cup full of palette knives is in my possession, and I use the Bob Ross one 95% of the time just because it works so well. I find it more intuitive than the standard trowel -It functions exactly how I envisage it. It is shaped like a palette knife.
