It is important that fan brushes made from natural bristles be relatively firm/stiff. These are just the right amount of firm/stiff. Despite my disappointment over their brush quality, I give them only 4 stars since I think the filaments could be packed better. In addition, I don't think you can find fans with a greater density on the market without spending a lot more money than these cost. Consequently, I think these are an excellent.
No need to spend your money on them.
There are a few problems with the handles but the actual brushes themselves are quite good. They seem to hold a sheet and manage to be reasonably easy to clean. I would definitely recommend getting them again for practice.
You have chosen the right size(s). I found exactly what I needed. I ordered the right size(s), at the right price, and it came in a timely manner. "Bob" was one I had been looking forward to trying, and since he uses fan brushes, I had to attempt using these as well.
It allows me to experiment with a variety of techniques using a functional bunch of fan brushes.
It has been several times since I've used my brushes, and I'm very pleased.
This is a wonderful brush set.
These brushes don't disappoint me, as I've always been a fan of Golden Maple brushes. Despite being stiff enough to maintain a straight line and flexible enough to bend, hog bristles are resilient. Winning is always sweet.
