In either case, I personally would be concerned that chemicals would leak out unless you used a A wax paper or foil can be used for this.
There is a Chinese manufacturer behind the product. Although it is a great tray, it has a few shortcomings. Whenever he does an art project or plays with play doh, he uses it.

My older nephew was here painting, so I wanted something similar for him. I had a "messy tray" as a kid, so I bought one for him. I like it, but even if it was a little bigger, it might be great for something like that.
A small project would be suitable for the shape and size. In their case, though, the flimsy material isn't strong or rigid enough to bear the weight of their own weight. The best way to arrange them is to lay them flat on the ground and not lift them. It is difficult for me to clean up since the flimsiness is too lightweight. It would be worth twice as much to have a tray similar to this but tougher/thinner.
For my granddaughter, I think this is a wonderful craft tray. The area is big enough to handle messy crafts such as slime, orbeez, and more It's Playdough. That keeps all of that from ruining the wood on my While it was more expensive than her regular trays, it was well worth the extra money since its size is larger and it's more durable.
We actually used it for fruit at a party and it worked very well. Due to our uncertainty as to whether or not the surface was food grade, we lined the pots with parchment paper.
It is ideal for playdoh, painting, and solving puzzles. The silicon is lightweight, so we put it in the non-metal part Under the table, make sure there are nothing but slip pads designed to prevent it from sliding. It is worth the extra money to upgrade to the large size. I first tried smaller, cheaper versions.
The paper is the right size for Paper Marbling/Ebru needs it meets my needs well. Other than that, we are the only non-Western nation On Amazon, I found a metal Ebru tray I absolutely love, it's very sturdy, and I love how it looks!.
What a gorgeous tray. I love it. All my son's projects have been made so much easier to clean and everything is organized in one place. I love how thick and sturdy it is. When I saw this, I had to send the link to a friend of mine.
I use this tray for home art projects every day, and it's great, the only downside is that once you put paint on it, it stains very permanent, unless you try to clean it using baking soda, but we don't mind if it's a mess.
