You can write on them, but I recommend placing a piece of paper or stretchy plastic wrap between the tray and the paper first.

These trays were covered in an odd waxy coating. It left odd patchy areas with a sticky, rubbery texture. I went to the Oriental Trading website and saw that they were selling these same trays on clearance for the same reason. Odd. The trays on Oriental Trading, on the other hand, were significantly less expensive. But, because I ordered them myself, they were the same trays. So please do yourself a favor and purchase these trays directly from Oriental Trading. You'll only have to pay a third of the original cost.
These trays are absolutely fantastic! I use them all of the time with my kids, for any project or activity where I want them to have a designated work area. br>br>Participate in a game of br>br>br>br> doh. The trays are used in the following ways: "Have fun with it. " On your tray, there's a bit of a doh. "br>br>Cookies to decorate. Love it! It's a big hit with our kids! I've never seen them draw as much as they do now. They've been walking around with them since we got them. We haven't had much opportunity to use them yet, but we've been quite busy at home.
These are used in my classroom to keep beads and other messes contained. They're nice and thick, and I think they're the perfect size; anything larger would be too difficult to store, and would likely encroach on the student's neighbor's space.
They can also be washed in the dishwasher. They are extremely durable. We use them for crafts and to eat in places other than the table. In the dishwasher, they also don't melt or warp.
My first order was damaged when it arrived, so I returned it. Also warped was the replacement order! Trays are strong and long-lasting, but how can children use them for art or writing?.
It was much smaller than I had anticipated.
They're great; they're high-quality, and I use them for my childcare craft activities. They're also easy to clean and come in a variety of colors.
