A fraction of a millimeter or about 1/4cm or just under 2mm measures the walls. As far as I know, they fit perfectly inside the Meeden 48 tin, however, I haven't tried them in any other travel palettes. The Meeden 48 tin also came with these. Though I have no idea whether the ones sold separately are the same, I assume they would be.
Good to hear from you! The palette you mention is not one I have. In my case, I use half pans in empty tins. The Altoids are like tins. Here are the first two. There are 75 ounces in the container. There is enough room in the tin to fit Putting a strip of double sided tape in the pan and a little piece of tape to fit the pan, and sticking them in the tin, makes it easy to open and close. Is in perfect working condition and holds firmly. I'm sorry, but I don't have any answers to your airtight palette question. The product is good, but not great.
Winsor and Newton's pocket watercolour set is compatible with these half pans.
Pans made to fit standard half sizes are available. They also give measurements from the edge of the pan to edge of the pan, so I imagine it's slightly bigger. It really doesn't matter how well my half pans of paint fit all that matters is that they fit.
Selected User Reviews For MEEDEN Empty Watercolor Paint Pans - 48 Pcs Half Pans
My Winsor & Newton watercolor half pans fit in the empty half pans I was looking for I tried to find a Newton watercolor travel kit, but I did not have success because it seems to have half pans that are just a tiny bit smaller than all the other brands. The closest ones were my choice because they were the cheapest ones. Unlike the Winsor & Newton half pans, the Medeen half pans are noticeably larger, and fitting them into the Winsor & Newton would cause you no wiggle room I did not find the Newton kit to work, but the system did. I would like to remind you that my Winsor & Newton firm is not affiliated with There are thin metal dividers in the Newton kit that extend outward slightly to fit the larger half-pans. Those kits with rigid plastic dividers might not be compatible with these half pans from Medeen.
The following is a review of Meeden paint pans, 24 pieces. The items arrived in good condition, were well packaged, and are of good quality. I plan to buy this item again. Glad to hear that. As well as the tin for 24 half pans in black, I also bought the tin for 24 small pans in black, and I really love it, as it is very thin and fits well After using it for a while, I don't mind that the paint inside is an off white color, a bit blueish, like the magnetic boards. I thought at first that I might not like it but after using it I don't mind it much. I love it, the only con is that in spite of it being easy to scratch, I haven't had any problems with it. I love that I have not had to worry about it breaking open, falling apart or being bent. More paints will be purchased as soon as I have them. In perfect condition, the package arrived well packed. pleased with our purchase!.
Since I am a beginner watercolourist, I wanted to create my own palette that I could use to switch out my existing palette (the Winsor and Newton Sketchers Pocket Box) with colours I get In my case, I assumed that these half pans would fit in the WN Pocket Box, since I had bought different tubes of paint. It would be good if they did, but they The products will fit inside the travel palette (the lid can be closed securely and they won't fall out if you shake the palette), but they will not fit in each slot completely. Their persistent elevation is more of a source of discomfort for me than anything else. You cannot fit them by pushing them into a palette, I have tried it, and I have not been able to get them out. I can fit them in my recycled small Altoids tin, which measures L - W - H Dimensions 5" wide, 5" high Approximately 5 inches by 2 inches by 3 inches It is just a little bit The perfect amount of 5 inches. It is only possible to fit five in this space. The bottom of the plates are covered with blue sticky tack to prevent them from moving I don't have any other empty palettes, so I cannot say whether they will fit any other palettes (but from the comments left here, I believe they will). The movie gets 3 stars from me It is true that they The walls are thicker and stronger than WN half pans, which is neither a positive nor a negative (Just a little mention), will hold your watercolours, gouaches, but I knocked off a few stars because I would have preferred if they had been able to fit into my WN travel palette in order to eliminate the need to carry two.
The tins that come in this packaging are cheaper than many of the other brands on the market. In spite of this, the quality leaves a lot It occurred to me that the metal braces that support the pots are not even but crooked, but still useful. I completely removed one of the braces after using it for the first time. The glue didn't adhere well, so it looks like it wasn't well applied. It was easy to remount it with superglue, and I haven't experienced any problems since then. I'm giving this a 3 out of 5, as I believe this should never have happened.
These are nice watercolor pans, and seem to be the best deal when it comes to the number of empty pans you'll get for that price. Their problem is that their sides are so thick that they cannot be inserted into some watercolor pan slots (e. g. An A & B Although it can still fit 14 pans into a lid of an altoid tin (which is how it was originally intended anyway), it can still fit 14 pans into the top of the box. So good to go, but don't forget to check your size beforehand!* Dimensions Notes on top Bottom 17mmx20mm
A 16mm x 19mm piece of metal whose height (straight up, a slight widening from bottom to top) is as follows Likewise, if you plan on writing the names of the colors on the side of the pen, use a fine grit sandpaper to handle the sides and prevent the ink from rubbing.
I received my order well packaged and without any issues by mail (Ontario) . Note If you want to draw on the pans merely for reference, make sure your permanent marker dries before you start drawing. *) I am pretty sure they will fit in any type of tin as tins often come with
If I am planning on using them for mint tins, then I buy a roll of magnetic tape and cut bits off to attach to the bottoms of the pans. The bottoms of the pan have been hollowed out by the logo, so I expect it to be easy to take the tape off when placing the pan into its regular Schminke pallets. This probably should've been bought in larger quantities.
The paint I use for different projects comes in a variety of tins and I like to switch them up. Pans of this type aren't very different from those of the name brand. Magnets were adhered to the bottom of a rag plastic pan with small, flat neodymium magnets. Magnets do not move around at all and their thickness does not affect the height of the pans much at all, so the magnets do not move.
It is in a Meeden palette and it is a Winsor Newton watercolor set. WN half pans are just a bit wider than these, so they added a bit to the bunch. In fact, it's almost imperceptibly wider than before. The number of pans that will fit across the palette will be reduced just enough. It's still there. I am pleased with the.
