Questions & Answers

How is a chip embedded in the edge of the product Is that so?

In addition to my 3+ enameled butcher tray palettes, I ordered one more. It is a fact that ALL of them had chips at the edges, and the porcelain enamel will continue to chip over time. The trade-off for a lightweight palette is that the palette will take up more space My work schedule is more flexible now that I am working from home Unlike ceramic palettes, which are lighter but more suitable for my painting process, porcelain palettes are heavier. It seems like there is no one to use my enamel butcher tray palettes.

Are the 7x11 measurements the overall interior dimensions of the tray as well as the flat bottom? As a result of watching the last seven episodes, I'd like to know. My order for 5 trays turned out to be Would 5x12 work?

A total of 12 Dims are available. A 5"x8" card. This 5"*11"-sized card has inside dimensions of

How is a chip embedded in the edge of the product Is that so?

As far as I can tell, these trays are seconds at best. A chip was also present on the rim of the one I received. This does not make a difference to its performance.

Does it have a magnetic field? The half pans on which I paint with watercolor have magnets. ?

Additionally, I purchased this in order to use with watercolors, but never used A lot of the porcelain was missing, so it would have rusted if it had been exposed to the elements. To use in the garage, I gave it to my husband. Magnets will adhere to it, I checked it out.

Damaged to a great extent
3/5

It's my first time buying this, and despite other reviews saying they come with damage and chips, I decided to order it anyway. The worst is yet to come An example of a bash on both ends of the pipe is shown in the image below. There was a loss of nearly one inch of the blue paint on both sides, and the one side was warped. had sharp points on the bottom as well. As long as the replacement isn't damaged, I'm good to go. Update

In some cases, the replacement parts were even more damaged than the originals. The second image shows it (see 2nd photo).

Listed below are the items that an illustrator should have on hand Add to the My main area of expertise is illustrating children's books with watercolors as a freelance illustrator
5/5

An excellent grade To me, the greatest importance is finding quality tools at a discount price. This palette does not disappoint! My favorite palette is porcelain, but porcelain is heavy, expensive, and very difficult to use because of its rigid nature. It really comes down to personal preference, but I hate plastic palettes. It is the best of both worlds to have an enamel butcher tray palette The light weight, easy to use and clean, and affordable nature makes it an excellent choice. It is a bit too bulky, and the enamel will chip off if it's left exposed. I previously bought a larger butcher tray palette from another company. There are going to be some enamel chips - There is only one way to handle such situations -- The Jack Richeson butcher tray palette, however, holds up much better to frequent use. After over 2 months of heavy usage, there is a chip on the rim, but it has not yet spread or rusted. I also have another butcher tray palette which has done both, despite the fact that it's still functional. Since I have been working on a project, I have kept the same watercolors (Sennelier, Turner, and Holbein) in the tray for one month now-- I'd like to thank you for rewetting them beautifully and making sure the enamel did not stain. Whenever the time comes, I am confident that it will clean up nicely and look neat and It is not obvious whether or not it will be a use or if there is space for this palette in my studio, but I could definitely see myself buying it.

The tray looks fine
3/5

Everything is fine with it. A metal pan with white and blue coating that can be used as a palette is featured as the product's advertising. The one star was deducted because it seems they glue the information page into the pan, so you have to scrape and work at it for a while before you can even use it. It's a very weak coating on the pan and mine was pretty beat up by the time I got it, so I took it off another star. Although I probably wouldn't buy this again, I could easily get a beat up pan for a quarter at Goodwill that would at least spare me the step of scraping the paper off that the glue left behind. Nevertheless, if you can't live without a butcher's tray, this product has a lot to offer in terms of price and functionality.

It is hard to find enamel of good quality
3/5

that the product description said the enamel wouldn't be perfect, so the chips and damage are just a part of it, but I didn't expect the enamel to be poorly covered or scraped off in certain places (like from being dragged behind something on rough ground). edges of the surface are rough, and it has a lot of exposed metal surfaces, so I'm afraid it may rust with extended However, I wouldn't buy this tray ever again because the hassle of returning it isn't worth the hassle. *Edit
From June 2, 2020 to June 2, 2020 In the updated picture, the tablecloth background shows the damaged enamel having flakes off in that area. I have given this to my kids for their art project, and with the very little use it has received, the edge has rusted and the enamel is becoming flakey.

This butcher palette is a great value at a great price
5/5

I ordered two of them. It wasn't until I saw this on a youtube tutorial that I realized I was using the wrong palette. I had been using those plastic round ones for a long time. I did all of the tricks so the paint wouldn't pool on that tiny flat part all the time. Mixing/blending colors is easy with the tray because you can mix colors to create your own custom shades. The legs are much easier to rise from and to sit down from If the paint is fully dry, there should be no divots to contend with. In addition to that, the rectangle shape makes it easier to store due to its ease of use. The tray can also be used to hold or store paint supplies if you like A truly treasured collection, this one will remain with me for a long time. Thank you for sharing these! I am glad I found them.

This is the definition of There are a lot of people who complain about the chips on the rim, I have one on my palette but I really don't mind it
5/5

Because it won't be near paint and water, there will be no chance of rust.
It's come to my attention that I am very picky when it comes to paint My small studio (which is really just a broom closet with a window, but it belongs to me and I'm grateful) has been going through everything that I've accumulated over the years or that wasn't going to make the cut for the new studio. My only palette that I consistently use throughout the last 20 years has been a 4x4 travel palette and bijoux duo. Since I spend a lot of time cleaning, you can imagine that Because I have read so many negative comments about chips, I have held off buying this product for about a year, but I am so glad I bought it now. When I'm ready to clean it, it's so easy, and I don't have to worry about stains. It's refreshing to have a larger space to mix on in the evening.

A corner of the pan has been smashed, resulting in chips falling into the pan
3/5

The entire corner has been smashed in into the pan, and it is flaking into the frying pan. I don't mind a small ding, but this is horrible. As I am using paint, I cannot use it if chips get into the paint. Based on the feedback other buyers have provided, I will not place an order for another. In spite of my adamant refusal to leave any stars, it insisted I do so despite my unwillingness.

Are those chips and dip available for me? I used it as a paint palette and it worked fine
3/5

This is just a paint container that sits there. It is only shipping I have a problem with. I watched it struggle for a few weeks and drove a few thousand miles to try to free itself from a box two sizes too big. The enamel was chipped off in a couple of places when it was delivered. It's a tsk, tsk, tsk situation. There is no one left who cares.
