Questions & Answers
It is possible to write pigment/color information on the pans of your palette, but after filling it, you won't be able to see the writing without removing them. To do this, I cut out a template on watercolor paper (the same size as my box, so that I can stick it inside) and wrote in the pigment numbers using a waterproof marker. Then I painted over the writing with paint. To me, this is a good approach.
Because this is not an air tight pallet, I wouldn't use it to store acrylic paints.
You should be able to close it securely. Though mine arrived a little bent, it still does the job. I might have been able to fix it after I sorted it out.
Usually, half pans come in this size. People who are not familiar with the standard pans should know that they come in two sizes. There are other palettes made for larger pans as well as those that can fit both sizes, but this one only takes mini pans.

The product was horrible and I am very angry about it. This was my first (and last) Arteza purchase. The YouTube channel became saturated with product reviews, which made me think it might be worth a shot. The item was damaged immediately after it was delivered to the customer. I am not sure why the shipping box was perfect, but the pallet itself was scrapped and dented on the outside. In several places, the white finish on the palette is down to bare metal, and this will quickly rust and ruin it. There are no worse half pans that I have ever seen than cheap, cheap, cheap quality half pans that are thin and warped. It is disappointing that even after years of constant use, none of my eight watercolor palettes is of this low quality. As well, I sent you a video of what the box looks like so you can see what the problem is. The Medeen palette is available for less than the same price and is of comparable quality. It has been years since I bought them and they are still in perfect condition.
A careful inspection of this box has led me to reconsider returning it. I bought it to add a new and different palette to my paint collection, but I will be returning it. Located at the bottom of the device is a metal ring that is attached through a series of OPEN holes. There are many ways for water and paint to leak. As well as, dirt, etc can get in a case, which isn't good for a traveling case or even while moving from one area to another If you slip up with paint, you might end up with paint in places you least expect it. This will likely be a rust issue as well. In addition, the hole in the bottom makes the mixing wells in the center section useless (if the half pan holder is removed). As for the 1/2 pans themselves, they are not standard size, but slightly larger, and do not feel as durable as metal. It will NOT be possible to switch out toilets if you have other WC sets. My experience as a buyer for the largest art supply store in the world comes from painting for more than 50 years. In the past, I was able to switch pan sets at will)
The fold-out panel with the 8 angled mixing wells does not lay flat when opened. Because of this, the wells slope in the direction of It is useless to place paint or water in the wells since they all eject the contents straight out. If you tilt the entire box, you'll reduce the chances of this happening, but then the 4 large wells on the lid are no good. It is also possible to bend the hinge to correct the angle of the tray, but the entire box might not close properly. The entire world- The palette box is not professional in any way. I would not recommend it to an amateur either due to the problems it has. This is NOT something I recommend.
There are razor sharp edges on the pallet, so you have to sand the whole thing thoroughly. without half pans, was dented several places, and the enamel coating along all the edges of the mixing areas has all been worn off, allowing corrosion of the iron around the edges when subjected to water, not to mention the scratching up from its use for travel. It was a very disappointing experience with The difference between meeden and meeden is only two dollars. It's never been a problem for me with them.
There is a lot of room for blending, and it's very secure. Negative only is that there is no place for a waterbrush, but a plus is that there is no room for a toothbrush. It's nice that the sticker name on the front can be removed if you don't like it. The price is very reasonable for the quality.
When the palette arrived, there were chips in the ceramic coating where the case closed. Because the item is clearly new, it was most likely damaged during production or packaging. Since there is a pandemic and it takes so long to get any item, I prefer to keep and use the item rather than return it, but I am concerned about the chipping area expanding and rusting early on in its use. In exchange for the cost, I would like to see the product in a better state when it comes out of the box.
The other way around is. The purpose of this is so as to avoid having to carry tubes of paint back and forth to I use it all the time. One of the problems was that the watercolor paints took an eternity To enhance the lifespan of the tray, do not plan to use it for a few days to allow paint to air.
I couldn't open the first one without a lot of effort. It was a great experience, and customer service sent a brand new one right away. To be honest, I haven't had any experience with I would expect it to be well-suited for travelers, as well as for home use. I can see this being used both at home and when traveling. Except for the pans, which you can change out and snap in, the entire piece is metal.
There are plenty of spaces to mix. It is especially beautiful how the mixing trays do not have an angle to them. In order to create as many colors as I want, I will need a large amount of mixing space. I will be using Daniel Smith's essential set which has 6 The world is better than I could ever imagine.
