Questions & Answers

After it dries, can this be painted over or over top of?

I have overpainted it with acrylic but it dries opaque or matte over it, which does not maintain the shine. Thanks for your help.

This brush is for fine lines, pours, skins, and flinging

A great way to create with clear tar gel is to use a brush. When mixed with liquid pigment, it is possible to pour incredibly thin lines - Click here for more information. If you want to throw them, you can do so. In the event that you don't have liquid acrylic yet wish to take advantage of the fine line quality, you can still do so! thin heavy body with water or mix it with a bit of heavy body and a bit of water.

The depth of the finish is incredible

The product is excellent and I plan to It has a nice thick consistency and gives the impression of depth in your picture. This product is very glossy, so if you want a matte finish, do not buy it. In addition, it takes 24 hours for the whole process to go through.

It's great stuff

I love it. That's awesome stuff, I love it! I was very pleased with the product. It's a nice, heavy body gel, keeps peaks and swirls and does make a good water feature for my miniatures for a fraction of the price of the mini water effect products found in the stores. It takes a little while for it to dry, but not too long, so you have time to experiment. Acrylics or pastels can be used to color it. I find this to be a very useful medium.
