The current size is quite small; I'm not sure you'd want it any smaller.
I'm not sure because I haven't used the polymer paper, but I really like it. Over a week after application, the paint remains fresh.
This is an acrylic paper pad that can be used in a wet palette. Using the palette keeps the paper wet, preventing the acrylic paint from drying.
I purchased a plastic box in which to store the paper. However, a layer of sponges on the bottom, topped with a wet dishtowel, and following the directions on the paper resulted in my paints remaining wet for up to two weeks. When I was done for the day, I closed the box and stored it in the refrigerator until I was ready to paint again. This product prevents paint from drying out between sessions, allowing me to keep working with a mixed color without having to remix it. Additionally, when there is a light breeze, it keeps the paints moist. (If it's been particularly windy, or if I won't be back until the following Sunday, I have a spray bottle of water that I use to mist the pallet right before I put the cover back on. ) ) Remember to spray the tray with the recommended 3% peroxide to prevent mold with the recommended 3% peroxide to prevent mold with the recommended 3% peroxide to prevent mold with I bought a second set for my church and am about to place my first pallet paper reorder.
I've had mine for over a decade and it's still going strong. I haven't had to buy paper in a long time because they are durable, reusable, and effective. In my experience, there is no substitute for quality and function when it comes to this product. This is an excellent deal. 5 stars.
etc). Instead, buy baking parchment or cookie sheets if you're just starting out with wet pallets for painting miniatures. They are thinner and allow for more water to pass through than these sheets. br>br>These sheets are made to hold a lot of paint while painting with bigger brushes and more pressure. They don't work well for keeping small drops of paint wet when painting miniatures. I was getting frustrated because my paint drops were drying out on these sheets, so I did some research and discovered that they aren't ideal for that style of painting. To paint my Warhammer/40k and other models, I use a Masterson wet pallet, sponges, and cookie sheets.
I find that I use parchment paper cut to size for the majority of the paints I use with my wet palette (especially if I don't plan on keeping the paints for more than a day or two), but these sheets are also great for longer projects or, as others have mentioned, some of the heavier paints.
The sheets will fold over on the edges if you follow the instructions. You will achieve great results if you follow the advice of someone like The Art Sherpa. For the past two weeks, I've had some Matisse acrylic structure paint on my sheets.
I'm not sure why I haven't tried these before now. They work great and can be washed and re-used several times. It takes some time to get them to work properly, but the end result is well worth the effort.
I'm not sure what I'd do if I didn't have Sta- The palette is wet. br>I spend a lot of time mixing colors and only work on a painting once or twice a week. I'd waste a lot of paint if I didn't have the palette and the refill sheets, mixing and remixing and trying to match colors from a week ago.
I don't change my colors very often (or I wouldn't need a palette that was always wet), so I can't comment on how these refill sheets would be affected by that. However, they last a surprising amount of time for me, and I have more than one sponge. depending on how much I use that particular palette, about a week's worth of use br>br>I'm sure there are less expensive options, but for the sake of durability, I'm willing to pay a few extra dollars.
