This was a present for my 7-year-old daughter. I believe I was named Father of the Year as a result of my efforts. She adores her paint set and brushes. Clean and simple to use.
Brushes and palettes of excellent quality are required. WAY CHEAPER THAN MICHAELS OR A CRAFT STORE, WHERE THE PATTERNS ARE SOLD FOR $4-$5. 5 EACH. These disposable plastic palettes are frequently sold, but we wash them in the sink and reuse them. used. The 'scrubby side' of a sponge will remove 85% of dry acrylic paint.
As a back-up activity, I bought this item for my 8-year-old's birthday party. "MINUTE TO WIN IT" was the theme of his birthday party. And, let's be honest, entertaining a dozen 8-year-old boys in one house isn't easy. The boys had a lot of energy. I was able to get through the games much more quickly than I had anticipated. Fortunately, I had already bought paints and canvases. These brushes and palettes are fantastic. They were ideal for the young men. Surprisingly, focusing on their projects helped them relax. The bristle quality of the brushes wowed me. the various brushing techniques There was no "fighting" or "competition" for certain sizes because there was such a wide range to choose from. Brushes are used to paint. Cleanup was a breeze with the palettes. Palettes are made of plastic. sturdy. I'm the mother of two more kids (4 in total). 3) & I'm sure I'll use these for their future birthday celebrations. For our family, these were an excellent purchase!.
The pans are shallow, so they won't hold a lot of paint. Oil paints must be refilled on a regular basis because acrylics dry quickly. I wouldn't recommend it for use in an older classroom. We purchased these for our Girl Scout Daisy troop's occasional use, and they are suitable for children aged 5 and up. The brushes are adequate; however, they are inexpensive and do not clean up easily. Again, this is fine for small children, but not so much for anyone looking for a longer lasting product.
At an art-themed birthday party, I used the small paint trays to make "decorate your own" cupcakes. The candy was held in place by the small circles, and the cupcakes were perfectly placed in the center. We iced the cupcakes right before the party, and the kids had a great time decorating them. Bonus: No one had to eat the candle cake that had just been blown out.
The painters who came out to my fundraiser for my wife's medical deductible, which is $840 per month, kept breaking their paint brushes. It's difficult to be the sole employee. We have a three-year-old son who doesn't get much because his mother is constantly ill. My wife's illness, as well as having to come up with that money on a monthly basis. Aside from that, just for the paint holders, it was a great deal. Thank you very much.
These were a Christmas gift to my granddaughter. She's five years old and enjoys painting, so these are perfect for her. I adore it when she misplaces her brushes - which she is going to - She's going to have a lot of them. Overall, the quality is surprising good for the price. There were no loose ferrules, which I thought was incredible, and the bristles were in good condition. I checked all of the brushes and found a seated on all of them. The palette cups were an added bonus that will be put to good use with her tempera paints.
These are great because they are super easy to clean, and even if you leave the paint on it to dry, you can peel it off at that point. The brushes are also not bad, with soft, easy-to-use bristles. When the brushes are used, they paint smoothly, whereas if you used a low-quality brush, the line from the brush would show and the paint would not spread evenly on your canvas.
