Instead of receiving the Togush booth, I received an Ophir portable airbrush spray booth kit, which is identical in design, function, and appearance to the Togush booth except for the color. (It appears that a Chinese company manufactures this spray booth in white, gray, or black, then labels and packages it for American companies to sell - Togush, Ophir, and Master Airbrush, as well as Bartsharp from the United Kingdom, Hseng. )br>With a high and low setting for its twin fans, this spray booth extracts 4 cubic meters of air per minute when one fan is running and 9 cubic meters of air per minute when both fans are running. All portable airbrush spray booths of comparable size and price have air extraction rates of 9 cubic meters per minute. It also comes with three strips of bright, daylight-reflecting LEDs. br> The only flaw I've found with this large booth is that the manual lacks an address, email address, or phone number for contacting Ophir in order to obtain the piece circled / pointed to in the photo. br>This large "Ophir Super Power Air Brush Spray Booth" certainly lives up to its nameake of "SUPER" with its construction and performance exceeding my expectations, and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lack of warranty contact information. br>UNFORTUNATELY, A ONE-YEAR WARRANTY IS OF NO VALUE IF THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER IN THE EVENT OF A PROBLEM! br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN REVISED. Since the publication of this review, Ophircolor, the seller of this Ophir booth, has stated in response to a user's question that this booth's top extraction rate is "approximately 8m3 /min," not the 9m3 /min stated in the booth's description!.
TLDR: I highly recommend this product because of the excellent customer service. br>br>My husband and I are new to airbrushing, so we decided to order this spray booth after much thought, hoping to get it quickly and get to work! I found out a day after I bought it that the one I ordered didn't have the adjustable lights/ventilation and that it wouldn't arrive until mid-August (more than a month after I ordered it). ) so I tried to cancel it and buy the one I wanted (from the same company). Because the first couldn't be canceled, I canceled the new one, resigning myself to receiving the version I didn't want whenever it arrived. br>br>A company representative contacted me to explain why the order was attempted to be cancelled and why there were multiple orders. When I explained that I wanted the variable version and that I needed it sooner, they were absolutely fantastic and immediately upgraded our machine, which shipped the next day. The spray booth was supposed to arrive on August 13th, but it arrived on July 3rd instead, and it only took 5 minutes to set up. It was simple to assemble and is of excellent quality. br>br> The LED lights are extremely bright, and they use a clever system to connect all of them while keeping the wiring and lights out of the way of the paint. br>br>For the amount of air it moves, the dual fan system is extremely quiet (my studio's dehumidifier is louder!). ) and I like how when you turn it off, it comes to a gentle stop rather than crashing to a halt. (In the long run, this will benefit the motor. ) )br>br>Thank you to TOGUSH for creating a fantastic product and being so responsive and accommodating!.
The lights are bright, and the unit is quite quiet (58db according to the box). My only gripe is that the fan and lights cannot be adjusted. The listing claims they are adjustable and shows rotary nobs, but mine only has two fan speeds (booth fans and one fan), and the lights are either on or off. There is no room for compromise. (See photos) Aside from that, I'm happy. I also included some images of a vintage 1/48 scale B-52 bomber. 24 was a size reference I made years ago.
The suction power is impressive, and the lighting is incredible. Because these lights are so bright, I might end up brush painting under them as well. br>br>It isn't super quiet; if both fans are on, we have to raise our voices to be heard, but it isn't loud enough to be annoying (unless you leave it on for several hours). Our bedroom is directly above the hobby room, and even at full speed, you can barely hear it, so I don't think it would be an issue in an apartment or anything.
This is an incredible find. I needed something 22 inches wide, but all I could find was $300 worth of sheet metal. 00 types. The package arrived quickly, and the assembly was simple. Additionally, the lighting is appealing. Perfect for scale models or anything else that requires painting.
br>br>The fan is great (just as I expected), but the lights are incredible. I had no idea I was underselling myself when it came to lighting.
There are no plans to move the booth around. It's all set up and working properly. When putting the LEDs together, keep in mind that the connectors are a little flimsy. Mine are functional, but one of the pins is slightly crooked.
